Answer:

Why one cannot marry 2 sisters at same time?

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

May Allah Subhanah reward you with the best of this world and the Hereafter for your kind comments of encouragement for our humble efforts in the propagation of the Truth. We humbly hope, beg, and pray the Merciful Lord accepts our humble and weak efforts, forgives us our shortcomings, and saves you, us, and all the believers from the torment of the Hell Fire. Ameen.

Your Question: my question is that is it allowed to have two sisters as wives at the same time. if not what is logic behind this.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verse 23: Prohibited to you (for marriage) are: your mother, daughters, sisters, father's sisters, mother's sisters, brother's daughters, sister's daughters, foster-mothers (who gave you suck), foster-sisters, your wives' mothers, your step-daughters under your guardianship born of your wives to whom ye have gone in; no prohibition if ye have not gone in; (and those who have been) wives of your sons proceeding from your loins, and two sisters in wedlock at one and the same time except for what is past; for Allah is Oft-Forgiving Most Merciful.

Allah Subhanah, in His Supreme Wisdom and Knowledge, has forbidden the believers to have two sisters as his wives at one and the same time. There is no harm if one marries the sister of his wife after his wife’s death, or divorces one sister and marries the other; but it is forbidden by Allah Subhanah for a believer to have two sisters married to him at one and the same time.

It is only natural that when two women are married to the same man, they will strive and compete for the attention of the man; which may result in a natural level of ill-will, competition, jealousy, etc. between the two wives. In many other Aayahs of the Quran, Allah Subhanah has commanded to respect and revere the blood-relationships which Allah Subhanah has created for mankind. And if two sisters are married to the same man, it may be that they would compromise the sacredness of their blood-relationship to each other in their natural competition and jealousy for the attention of their husband, which would directly affect their relationship as sisters. In our humble opinion that seems the most probable wisdom behind the command to forbid a believing man to marry two sisters at one and the same time; and Allah Subhanah Alone Knows Best.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
