Mu' meneen Brothers
and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa
Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be
upon all of you)
One of our
brothers/sisters has asked this question:
As-Salamualikum
I m not able to
understand a little bit of your explanation so i would like if you explain me
again. As a Muslim i always accept words of HOLY QURAN and all Hadith and but i
am not able to get what you said in your previous answers, so can you help me?.
And since you have
suggested one can ask question for cause of knowledge so i would like to put
these question .
Second Your answer
1692 indicates that quresh has superiority? since when Prophet (SAW) has spread
ISLAM all races distinction were gone so how can you say that these (Quraish)
will not accept any other as head.
(There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.)
Answer:
If races abolished how come
quraish leaders by Prophet Mohamed
In the name of Allah, We praise
Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none
can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.
We bear witness that there is no one (no idol,
no person, no grave, no
prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Sahih Al-Bukhari
Hadith 4.705 Narrated by Ibn Umar
The Prophet said,
"Authority of ruling (Khilaafah) will remain with Quraish, even if only
two of them remained."
Indeed Islam guides towards the
Brotherhood and Equality of the believers, without any differentiation of
castes, races, color, etc. Islam
teaches that the only ones who are more superior or honorable in the sight of
Allah, are those who are more in piety and God-consciousness.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran: Chapter 49 Surah Hujurat verse 13:O mankind, We created you from one man
and one woman, and then divided you into nations and tribes so that you may
recognize one another. Indeed,
the most honorable among you in the sight of Allah is he who is the most pious
of you. Surely Allah is
All-Knowing, All-Wise.
The scholars in Islam are
unanimous in their opinion that the connotation to the above quoted hadith was
to do with the political state of Islam in those times, as the Arabs of the time would never accept
anyone as their leader or ‘Ameer’ other than one from the family of the
Quraish. That was because the tribe of
Quraish were regarded as the most superior amongst the Arabs even before the
advent of Islam, because they used to be the custodians of the Kaabah. Thus, the statement of the Messenger of
Allah (saws) was just a statement describing the political landscape and
political state of the Arabs of the time.
There are several other
narrations where the Messenger of Allah (saws) has commanded and guided the
believers to remain united and be obedient to their Ameer or chosen Khalifah,
no matter who he was; even if he were an Abyssinian slave!
Sunan of Abu-Dawood
Hadith 4590 Narrated by Irbad ibn Sariyah
One day the
Messenger of Allah (saws) led us in prayer, then faced us and gave us a lengthy
exhortation at which the eyes shed tears and the hearts were afraid. A man said:
‘O Messenger of Allah! It seems as if it were a farewell exhortation, so
what injunction do you give us?’ He
(saws) then said: ‘I enjoin you to fear
Allah, and to hear and obey even if it (your Ameer) be an Abyssinian
slave, for those of you who live after me will see great disagreement.
You must then follow my Sunnah and that of the Rightly-Guided Caliphs. Hold to
it and stick fast to it. Avoid novelties, for every novelty is an innovation,
and every innovation is an error.’
And the Prophet’s (saws)
statement did prove true, when after his death it was the Quraish who held the
leadership of the muslim for several hundred years! After the Khilaafah of the Four Rightly Guided Khalifaahs, it
was the Bani Umayyads until 750 AD, then the Bani Abbas until 1258 AD, and the Fatimids, all of whom were from the
Quraish. It was not until the Saljuq
Turks established their leadership of the muslims around 1288 AD, that the
Khilaafah went to someone other than from the tribe of Quraish!
Whatever written of Truth and
benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error
is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He
is the Only Source of Strength.

Islam,
Burhan
