One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
Dear
Brother,
Assalaamualaikum
wa rahmatullahi wa barkatahu,
I am working in a software company where if i want to offer namaz, i need to go
to the 5 th floor. but i can do wazu only on the ground floor as there is
no water facility on the 5 floor.
I wear belted slippers. I would be thankful to you if you let me know whether
touching the slippers to put on the belts results in breaking the
wazu..do i need not touch the slippers after doing wazu... please reply
soon as possible.

Answer:
Wudu validity
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.
The mere touching of one’s slippers or its belts does not
in any way invalidate one’s state of wudu or ablution.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.
Your brother and
well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
