Answer:

Is it obligatory to perform umrah

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: my question is is umrah compulsory for visit in HARAM, HOWEVER I ALREADY HAVE DONE ONE UMRAH LAST YEAR

Although it would be best if one visits the Holy Precinct from a distant land to perform the Umrah pilgrimage, but there is absolutely no such obligation in Shariah that every believer who enters the Sacred House must perform Umrah. If one, for any reason whatsoever, chooses not to perform the Umrah, but rather only make the ‘tawaaf’ or offer prayer in the ‘haram’, there is absolutely no harm and no sin upon them. The absolute most that can be said of a person who gets an opportunity to visit the Sacred House from a distant land but chooses not to perform the Umrah is that the person lost a huge opportunity to earn extra rewards from His Lord.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
