Support homosexual-gay movement
Mu' meneen Brothers
and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa
Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be
upon all of you)
One of our
brothers/sisters has asked this question:
Dear Mr.Burhan:
Assalam Aalikoom,
the Supreme Court of Ontario that recently ordered the gouvernment to accepted
gay and lesbian marriages. Being a mulism myself is it acceptable to accept
this ruling. My father didn`t even want us to have this conversation among the
family. I agree that it is aganist Allah`s teachings, but i stand with them a
100%. I think that what they are doing is their problem and it doesn`t have to
affect my life. Is it wrong to support their way of life? I believe that it`s
their human right and decision to do whatever they want. Is it wrong to hold
such conversation among us? I have been told that being a mulism we are not to
associate with gays. Is this true? May Allah help you in your good work...
Inhsallah

Answer:
Support homosexual-gay movement
In the name of Allah, We praise
Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none
can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.
We bear witness that there is no one (no idol,
no person, no grave, no
prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Before we answer your specific
questions, allow us to give you an
overview of the concept of homosexuality in Islam.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 7 Surah Aaraf verses 80-82:And We sent Lot as a Messenger. And he said to his people, “Have you become
so shameless that you commit such indecent acts as no one committed before you
in the world? You gratify your lust
with men instead of women. Indeed you
are a people who are transgressors of all limits!” But the only answer his people gave was, “turn out these people
from your habitations for they pose to be very pious.”
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 11 Surah Hud verses 82-83:Accordingly, when the time of the execution of Our Judgement came (for the
people of Lot), We turned the
habitation upside down and rained on it stones of baked clay, each of which had been specifically marked
by your Lord. And such a scourge is
not far from the tyrannous people!
Homosexuality is absolutely
forbidden in Islam. It is an
abomination and a grave sin in the eyes of Allah, and in Islam the doers of this sin are punishable by death!
This deed is deemed un-natural
and against humanity and society in Islam.
This deed is an evil and immoral deviation of man, and is not even found in the lower forms of
animate life! Allah destroyed the
whole habitation of Prophet Lot, and
turned the whole city upside-down, and
rained on them a rain of brim-stones for their sin of homosexuality. It was not that every individual in Sodom
and Gomorrah who were destroyed committed sodomy; but even those who accepted it,
propagated it, looked upto it as a norm and fashion, and allowed it without raising a voice
against this abomination, were all destroyed by Allah Subhanah.
And Allah warns in the Holy
Quran: ‘And such a scourge is not far from the
tyrannous people!’ Thus if in
the world today, this act of sodomy is
propagated and accepted as normal and as fashionable, and society as a whole does not
take steps to abolish this abomination,
the scourge that came upon the people of Sodom and Gomorrah is not far!
We seek refuge in Allah from His
Wrath, His Anger and His Punishment!
Your question: Being a mulism myself is it acceptable to accept this ruling.
The
only rulings which are unconditionally binding on the believers, are the rulings of Allah and His Messenger
(saws). If any other, no matter who and what they are, give a ruling that goes against the guidance
and teachings of Allah Subhanah and His Messenger (saws); those rulings will not be accepted or obeyed
by the true believers.
Your question: I agree that it is aganist Allah`s teachings, but i stand with them a 100%.
Allah
Subhanah has given man intelligence and the power of reasoning, and a free will to choose between the good
and the evil paths. If you know, accept and agree that the ruling of the
worldly court is absolutely against the clear guidance of Allah Subhanah and
you still wish to stand 100% with such a ruling; then that is a stand you should prepare to answer for in the Just
Court of Allah Subhanah on an Inevitable Day.
Our humble advice to our brother
muslim is to sincerely contemplate this Aayah of the Holy Quran before you take
any stand against the guidance of Allah Subhanah:
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah Ahzaab verse 36:It
does not behove a believing man and a believing woman, that when Allah and His Messenger have given
their decision in a matter, they should
exercise an option in that matter of theirs.
For whoever disobeys Allah and His Messenger, has indeed strayed into manifest error.
Your question: I think that what they are doing is their problem and it doesn`t have to affect my life. Is it wrong to support their way of life? I believe that it`s their human right and decision to do whatever they want.
Homosexuality
is an abomination and a grave sin in the sight of the Creator; and it is absolutely and comprehensively
wrong for a believer, who sincerely
believes in Allah and the Last Day, to
support homosexuality in any form,
manner, or mode!
No one respects and honors
‘human rights’ more than the One Who Created ‘humans’ and gave them their
‘rights’! The Rights of one stop when
one harms the rights of another, or
harms the rights of a righteous and pious society. The ungodly world have used the banner of ‘human rights’ in a
selective manner according to their whims, fancies, conjecture, and desires.
Will the same courts who have
allowed and legalized such an abomination as homosexuality, allow these evils under the guise of ‘human
rights’:
- a person to use drugs on himself?
- A person to smoke in a public building?
- A person to open an illegal gambling den
wherever he wants?
- A person to sell alcohol or cigarettes or
drugs to children?
- a person to walk naked in public?
- A person to kill himself in public?
- A person to commit incest with his daughter?
The ungodly people have
recognized the above as evils of society,
and have no qualms or issues in restricting the person from practicing
his ‘human rights’ when one harms himself,
his fellow mankind or the society!
But these same people do not recognize the evils of accepting
homosexuality upon the person himself,
his fellow mankind and to a righteous society.
Time is not far when the same
courts who have today legalized homosexuality,
may tomorrow legalize a man to marry his daughter, or his sister, or his mother, or maybe
even his own dog!!! Will you stand
with them a 100% then?
Beloved brother, the Criterion for good and evil is not what
some court in Ontario or New York or The Hague decides! The Criterion of good and evil for the
believers, who sincerely believe in
Allah and the Last Day, should always
be the guidance and teachings of Allah and His Messenger (saws).
Allah Says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verse 44:If any do fail to Judge by what Allah has
Revealed, they are (no better than) the
‘kaafiroon’ (unbelievers)!
Allah Says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verse 45:And if any fail to Judge by what Allah has
Revealed, they are (no better than) the
‘dhaalimoon’ (wrong-doers)!
Allah Says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verse 47:If any do fail to Judge by what Allah has Revealed, they are (no better than) the ‘faasiqoon’
(transgressors)!
Your question: Is it
wrong to hold such conversation among us?
If
one is asking a question to gain more knowledge about a subject, there is absolutely no harm. It is not wrong to hold such a conversation
amongst us, or ask anything pertaining
seeking knowledge in Islam, provided
one’s intention is to seek knowledge and not mock or ridicule or abuse the laws
and guidance of Allah and His Messenger (saws).
Your question: I have been told that being a mulism we are not to associate with gays. Is this true?
It
all depends on what kind of ‘association’ a believer wants to form with the
people who practice the abomination of
homosexuality!
If one wants to support their
movement, or support their cause, or ‘associate’ with them sexually, etc. then obviously it would not behove a
believer to associate with such evil in any way.
But if one wants to guide the
people who practice homosexuality to the Right Path, or advice them to leave their evil practice, or help them when an individual is in
distress, or do justice in dealing with
them, etc. there is absolutely no harm
in such association.
To Allah we belong, and to Him is our ultimate return.
If
one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and commands of
Allah and His Messenger (saws), he can
be assured of never ever being misled;
but if one believes, obeys and
follows any other guidance, other than
that of Allah and His Messenger (saws),
he can be assured of being led astray.
Whatever written of
Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever
of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows
Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
Your Brother in
Islam,
Burhan
