Answer:

Tattoes removal revert

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question 1: If a non-muslim (kafir) with tattoo wants to convert to a muslim, and willing to do his part as a pious muslim, is it a MUST to earse his/her tattoo to convert?

The removal of one’s tattoos which one had applied during one’s days of ignorance before Islam is definitely not a condition for one’s conversion to the Truth of Islam!

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 7.816 Narrated by Humaid bin Abdur Rahman bin Auf

The Prophet (saws) said, "Allah has cursed the lady who artificially lengthens (her or someone else's) hair and the one who gets her hair lengthened, and the one who tattoos (herself or someone else) and the one who gets herself tattooed."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 7.820 Narrated by Ibn Umar

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said, "Allah has cursed such a lady as lengthens (her or someone else's) hair artificially or gets it lengthened, and also a lady who tattoos (herself or someone else) or gets herself tattooed."

If one had applied tattoos on oneself before one’s acceptance of Islam, and subsequently Allah Subhanah blessed them to revert to Islam…..it would only be piety, righteousness and a manifestation of one’s sincere repentance that one strives to get those tattoos erased from oneself.

Your Question 2: If a non-muslim (kafir) wants to married to a muslim, MUST he/she convert to a muslim?

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 221:

221 Do not marry unbelieving women (idolaters) until they believe; a slave woman who believes is better than an unbelieving woman even though she allure you. Nor marry (your girls) to unbelievers until they believe: a man slave who believes is better than un unbeliever even though he allure you. Unbelievers do (but) beckon you to the fire. But Allah beckons by His Grace to the Garden (of Bliss) and forgiveness, and makes His Signs clear to mankind that they may celebrate His Praise.

It is absolutely prohibited in Islam for a believing woman to marry any but a believer; and for a believing man to marry any but a believing woman, or a woman from amongst the People of the Book (Jews or Christians).

A marriage between a believing woman and a disbelieving man, or a marriage between a believing man and a woman who is neither a Muslim, nor a Christian, nor a Jew is absolutely null and void in the Sight of Allah Subhanah.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
