Answer:
Qasr shorten prayers
at work
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah
Nisaa verse 101:
101 When ye travel through the earth there is no blame on you if ye
shorten your prayers.
Beloved brother, because you are not in the state of
travel or journey either at your location at work nor when at home, and although
the two places happen to be 150km apart, you reside in both places equally….thus
in the opinion of the scholars of ‘Fiqh’
or Islamic Jurisprudence you are to offer full prayers at both the locations,
at work and also at home.
But if you are in the actual state of travel between the
two places and a prayer time approaches when you are in journey between the two
places, you would be entitled to offer that particular prayer in the shortened
format. And Allah Alone Knows Best.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.
Your brother and
well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
