Answer:
References for shirk
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
1. Bowing down to anybody
or anything other than Allah is Shirk.
2. Bowing down to
the graves of his ancestors is Shirk.
3. Bowing down to
the graves of even the Prophet (saws), Hadrat Ali (saws), Hadrat Fatema (saws),
etc. is Shirk .
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 41 Surah
Fusselat verse 37:
Do not do ‘sajdah’ to the sun and the moon, but do ‘sajdah’ to that Allah, Who Created them, if you really are indeed His worshippers.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 13 Surah
Raad verse 15:
For it is Allah Alone before whom everything in
the heavens and the earth do ‘sajdah’ willingly or un-willingly. Even the shadows of all things do ‘sajdah’
to Allah in the morning and evening!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah
Hajj verse 77:
O you who believe, do ‘rukoo’ and ‘sajdah’ to Allah Alone, worship Allah Alone, and do righteous deeds. It may be that you attain true success.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 16 Surah
Nahl verse 48-50:
And don’t they observe anything created by
Allah: how it casts its shadow right and left,
doing its ‘sajdah’ to Allah Alone?
Thus do all things express their humility to Allah. All the animate creation in the heavens and
the earth and all the angels do ‘sajdah’ in adoration to Allah Alone. They do not show any arrogance at all, and
fear their Lord, Who is above them, and do whatever they are bidden by Allah.
To bow down in reverence and worship is the Exclusive
Right due to none save Allah Subhanah Alone; if one bows down in prostration to
anyone or anything other than Allah Subhanah, one would have shared the Right
of Worship which is absolutely exclusive to Allah Subhanah with another in
creation; and that would constitute a manifest act of ‘shirk’!
4. Believing that
the dead people in their graves can hear and answer our duas is Shirk
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 35 Surah
Fatir verse 22:
22 Nor are alike those that are living and those that are dead. Allah can make any that He wills to hear; but
thou canst not make those to hear who are (dead and buried) in graves.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 30 Surah
Rome verse 52:
52 So verily thou canst not make the dead to hear nor canst thou make the deaf to hear the call when they show their
backs and turn away.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 46 Surah
Ahqaf verses 4-6:
O Prophet, say to them,
"Have you ever seen them with open eyes those whom you invoke instead of
Allah? Show me what they have created in the earth? Or have they any share in
the creation and control of the heavens? Bring me a Book revealed before this,
or produce some remnant of knowledge in support of your beliefs if you are
truthful." And who could be further astray than the one who invokes,
instead of Allah, those who cannot answer him till the Day of Resurrection.
Nay, they are even UNAWARE THAT THEY ARE BEING INVOKED. And when all mankind
shall be gathered together (on the Day of Qiyamah), they (the so called leaders
and intercessors) will become enemies of those who invoked them and they will
DISOWN THEIR WORSHIP!!!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah Zumur verse 2-3:
So worship Allah Alone, making your religion His exclusively. Beware!
Religion is the exclusive Right of Allah. As for those who have taken other ‘auliyas’
with Allah (and justify their this conduct by saying): “We serve them only that
they may bring us closer to Allah.”
Allah will surely judge between them concerning all that in which they
differ. Allah does not show guidance to
any liar and denier of the Truth.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah Yunus
verse 18:
These people worship beside Allah those which
can neither harm nor benefit them, and say, “These are our ‘shofa’a’
(intercessors) with Allah!” (O Prophet)
tell them, “Do you wish to inform Allah of that thing which He knows to be
neither in the heavens nor in the earth?”
He is absolutely free from, and exalted above the shirk that they
commit.
To believe that those who are dead and buried in their
graves, of their own strength or power can hear the invocations and supplications
of the alive is a clear manifestation of ‘shirk’.
5. Believing that
anybody other than Allah can do us any harm is Shirk.
6. Believing that
anybody other than Allah can bring us some good is Shirk .
Allah Says in His Holy Quran Chapter 35 Surah
Fatir verse 2:
2 What Allah out of His Mercy doth bestow on mankind there is none can
withhold: what He doth withhold there is none can grant apart from Him: and He
is the Exalted in Power Full of Wisdom.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah
Anaam verse 17:
17 If Allah touch thee with affliction none can remove it but He; if He
touch thee with happiness He hath power over all things.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale Imraan verse 160:
If Allah helps you none can overcome you: if He
forsakes you who is there after that that can help you? In Allah then let believers put their trust.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah
Ahzaab verse 3:
And put your trust in Allah Alone; and enough is Allah as a Disposer of affairs.
Allah says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 9 Surah Taubah verse 51:
Say: "Nothing
will happen to us except what Allah has decreed for us: He is our Protector"; and on Allah let the believers put their
trust.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah Yunus
verse 18:
These people serve beside Allah those which can
neither harm nor benefit them, and say, “These are our ‘shofa’a’ (intercessors)
with Allah!” (O Prophet) tell them, “Do
you wish to inform Allah of that thing which He knows not in the heavens, or in
the earth?” He is absolutely free
from, and exalted above the shirk that
they commit.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Surah
Aaraf verse 190-196:
They associate with Allah partners who do not
create anything, but are themselves
created! Who cannot help them nor have
the power to help themselves! If you
invite them to follow the
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 22 Surah
Hajj verses 73-74:
73 O men! Here is a parable set forth! Listen to it! Those on whom
besides Allah ye call cannot create (even) a fly if they all met together for
the purpose! And if the fly should snatch away anything from them, they would
have no power to release it from the fly: feeble are those who petition and
those to whom they petition!
74 No just estimate have they made of Allah: for Allah is He Who is
strong and able to carry out His Will.
To believe that anyone or anything can bring any benefit
or any harm to one in the unseen is a clear manifestation of ‘shirk’!
7. Believing that
anybody other than Allah knows everything is Shirk.
Allah Says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 73:
73 It is He Who created the heavens and the earth in true
(proportions): the day He saith "Be" Behold! it is! His Word is the Truth. His will be the dominion the Day the trumpet
will be blown. He (Alone) Knows
the unseen as well as that which is open. For He is the Wise well acquainted (with all
things)
Allah Says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 59-60:
59 With Him are the keys of the Unseen the treasures that none Knows but
He. He knoweth whatever there is on the
earth and in the sea. Not a leaf doth fall but with His knowledge: there is not a grain in the darkness (or depths) of the earth nor
anything fresh or dry (green or withered) but is (inscribed) in a Record Clear.
60 It is He Who doth take your souls by night and hath knowledge of all
that ye have done by day. By day doth He
raise you up again; that a term appointed be fulfilled; in the end unto Him
will be your return then will He show you the truth of all that ye did.
Allah Says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 31 Surah Luqman verse 34:
34 Verily the Knowledge of the Hour is with Allah (alone). It is He Who sends down rain and He Who knows
what is in the wombs. Nor does anyone
know what it is that he will earn on the morrow: nor does anyone know in what
land he is to die. Verily with Allah is
full knowledge and He is acquainted (with all things).
8. Believing that
anybody other than Allah sees everything is Shirk.
Allah Says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verse 1:
1 O mankind! reverence your Guardian-Lord Who created you from a
single person created of like nature his mate and from them twain scattered
(like seeds) countless men and women; reverence Allah through Whom ye demand
your mutual (rights) and (reverence) the wombs (that bore you): for Allah
ever watches over you.
Allah Says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verses 61-62:
61 He is the Irresistible (watching) from above over his worshippers and He sets guardians over you.
At length when death approaches one of you Our angels take his soul and
they never fail in their duty.
62 Then are men returned unto Allah their Protector the (Only) Reality:
is not His the Command? And He is the
swiftest in taking account.
Allah Says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 67 Surah Mulk verses 19-20:
19 Do they not observe the birds above them spreading their wings and
folding them in? None can uphold them except (Allah) Most Gracious: truly
it is He that watches over all things.
20 Nay! Who is there that can help you (even as) an army besides
(Allah) Most Merciful? In nothing but delusion are the Unbelievers.
Allah Subhanah Alone is the One Who is All-Seeing,
All-Knowing! If one believes that there
is any in creation who sees everything, that would indeed be a clear manifestation
of ‘shirk’!
9. Believing that
anybody other than Allah listens to our prayers is Shirk .
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah Yunus
verse 18:
These people serve beside Allah those which can
neither harm nor benefit them, and say, “These are our ‘shofa’a’ (intercessors)
with Allah!” (O Prophet) tell them, “Do
you wish to inform Allah of that thing which He knows not in the heavens, or in
the earth?” He is absolutely free
from, and exalted above the shirk that
they commit.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Surah
Aaraf verse 190-196:
They associate with Allah partners who do not
create anything, but are themselves
created! Who cannot help them nor have
the power to help themselves! If you
invite them to follow the
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 46 Surah
Ahqaf verses 4-6:
O Prophet, say to them, "Have you ever seen
them with open eyes those whom you invoke instead of Allah? Show me what they
have created in the earth? Or have they any share in the creation and control
of the heavens? Bring me a Book revealed before this, or produce some remnant
of knowledge in support of your beliefs if you are truthful." And who
could be further astray than the one who invokes, instead of Allah, those who
cannot answer him till the Day of Resurrection. Nay, they are even UNAWARE THAT
THEY ARE BEING INVOKED. And when all mankind shall be gathered together (on the
Day of Qiyamah), they (the so called leaders and intercessors) will become
enemies of those who invoked them and they will DISOWN THEIR WORSHIP!!!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 16 Surah
Nahl verse 20-21:
All the other beings, whom the people invoke with Allah, create nothing! Nay,
they are themselves created.
They are DEAD, not living, and they do not at all know themselves when
they shall again be raised to life!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 25 Surah
Furqan verses 17-19:
And on that Day,
(Your Lord) will gather all these people together as well as those whom
they used to invoke besides Allah and ask them, “Did you mislead these servants
of Mine, or did they themselves go
astray?” Those associate-deities will
answer, “Glory be to You! We dared not take
any ‘auliya’ besides You. You did give
them and their forefathers all the good things of life till they forgot the
Admonition, and incurred the
punishment.” Thus will your deities
deny all that you are professing today!
Then you shall neither be able to repel your punishment, nor shall you be able to get any help from
anywhere. And whoever is guilty of iniquity
among you, We shall make him taste a
severe torment!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 35 Surah
Fatir verses 13-14:
He merges night into day, and day into
night, and he has subjected the Sun and
the Moon (to His Law); each one runs its
course for an appointed term. Such is
Allah, your Lord! To Him belongs all
Dominion. Those whom you invoke besides
Him, do not own even a blade of
grass! If you call them, they cannot hear your prayers! And if they hear, they cannot answer you! And on the Day of Resurrection, they will disown your ‘shirk’. None can inform you of the Truth, like the One Who is acquainted with all things.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 35 Surah
Fatir verses 40:
Say,
“Have you ever seen those associates of yours whom you invoke besides
Allah? Tell me: What have they created in the earth, or what is their share in the heavens? Have We given them a Book, from which they derive a clear sanction (for
their shirk)”. Nay! These wicked people are only beguiling one
another with nothing, but delusion.
10. Believing that
anybody other than Allah can help us is Shirk.
11. Believing that
anybody other than Allah can guide us is Shirk.
Allah Says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 71:
71 Say: "Shall we indeed call on others besides Allah things that
can do us neither good nor harm and turn on our heels after receiving guidance
from Allah? Like one whom the ‘shaytaan’ have made into a fool wandering
bewildered through the earth his friends calling `Come to us' (vainly) guiding
him to the Path." Say: "Allah's guidance is the
(only) guidance and we have been directed to submit ourselves to the
Lord of the worlds.”
Allah Says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 10 Surah Yunus verses 35-36:
35 Say: "Of your `partners' is there any that can give any
guidance towards Truth?" Say:
"It is Allah (Alone) Who gives guidance towards Truth.” Is then He Who gives guidance to Truth more
worthy to be followed or he who finds not guidance (himself) unless he is
guided? What then is the matter with you? How judge ye?"
36 But most of them follow nothing but fancy: truly fancy can be of no
avail against Truth. Verily Allah is
well aware of all that they do.
Allah Says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 120:
120 Never will the Jews or the Christians be satisfied with thee unless
thou follow their form of religion. Say:
"The guidance of Allah that is the (only) guidance." Wert thou to follow their desires after the
knowledge which hath reached thee then wouldst thou find neither protector nor
helper against Allah.
Allah Says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 17 Surah Israa verse 97:
97 It is he whom Allah guides that is on true guidance; but he whom He leaves astray for such wilt thou find no protector
besides Him.
12. Believing that
anybody can influence Allah to give us health is Shirk.
Allah Says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 27 Surah Naml verses 59-64:
59 Say: Praise be to Allah and Peace on His servants whom He has chosen
(for his Message). (Who) is better?
Allah or the false gods they associate with Him?
60 Or Who has created the heaven and the earth and Who sends you down
rain from the sky? Yea! With it We cause to grow well-planted orchards full of
beauty and delight: it is not in your power to cause the growth of the trees in
them. (Can there be another) god besides
Allah? Nay they are a people who swerve from justice.
61 Or Who has made the earth firm to live in; made rivers in its midst;
set thereon mountains immovable; and made a separating bar between the two
bodies of flowing water? (Can there be another) god besides Allah? Nay most of
them know not.
62 Or Who listens to the (soul) distressed when it calls on Him and who
relieves its suffering and makes you (mankind)
inheritors of the earth? (Can there be another) god besides Allah? Little it is
that ye heed!
63 Or Who guides you through the depths of darkness on land and sea and
who sends the winds as heralds of glad tidings going before His mercy? (Can
there be another) god besides Allah? High is Allah above what they associate
with Him!
64 Or Who originates Creation then repeats it and Who gives you
sustenance from heaven and earth? (Can there be another) god besides Allah? Say
"Bring forth your argument if ye are telling the truth!"
Allah Says in the Holy
Quran Chapter 26 Surah Shuaraa verses 70-83:
70 Behold he (Abraham) said to his father
and his people: "What worship ye?"
71 They said: "We worship idols and we remain constantly in
attendance on them."
72 He said: "Do they listen to you when
ye call (on them)
73 Or do you good or harm?"
74 They said: "Nay but we found our
fathers doing thus (what we do)."
75 He said: "Do ye then see whom ye
have been worshipping
76 Ye and your fathers before you?
77 For they are enemies to me; not so the
Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds;
78 Who created me and it is He Who guides
me;
79 Who gives me food and drink
80 And when I am ill it is He Who cures me;
81 Who will cause me to die and then to live
(again);
82 And Who I hope will forgive me my faults
on the Day of Judgment...
83 O my Lord! Bestow wisdom on me and join
me with the righteous….”
13. Believing that
anybody can influence Allah to give us wealth is Shirk.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 51 Surah
Dhariyaat verses 56-58:
56 I have only created jinns and men that
they may worship Me.
57 No sustenance do I require of them nor do
I require that they should feed Me.
58 For Allah is He Who gives (all) Sustenance; Lord of Power Steadfast.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 67 Surah
Mulk verses 20-21:
20 Nay who is there that can help you (even as) an army besides (Allah)
Most Merciful? In nothing but delusion are the disbelievers.
21 Or who is there that can provide you with Sustenance if He were to
withhold His provision? Nay! They obstinately persist in insolent impiety and
flight (from the Truth).
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 16 Surah
Nahl verses 72-74:
72 And Allah has made for you mates (and companions) of your own
nature. And made for you out of them sons and daughters and grandchildren and
provided for you sustenance of the best: will they then believe in vain things
and be ungrateful for Allah's favors?
73 And worship others than Allah such as have no power of providing
them for sustenance with anything in heavens or earth and cannot possibly have
such power?
74 Invent not similitudes for Allah: for
Allah knoweth and ye know not.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 29 Surah
Ankabut verses 16-17:
16 And (We also saved) Abraham: Behold he said to his people
"Serve Allah and fear Him: that will be best for you if ye understand!
17 For ye do worship idols besides Allah and ye invent falsehood. The things that ye worship besides Allah have
no power to give you sustenance: then seek ye sustenance from Allah, serve Him,
and be grateful to Him: to Him will be your return.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 35 Surah
Fatir verse 3:
3 O men! Call to mind the grace of Allah unto you! Is there a Creator
other than Allah to give you Sustenance from heaven or earth? There is no god
but He: how then are ye deluded away from the Truth?
14. Believing that
anybody can influence Allah to give us children is Shirk.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Surah
Aaraaf verses 189-198:
189 It is He who created you from a single person and made his mate of
like nature in order that he might dwell with her (in love). When they are united she bears a light burden
and carries it about (unnoticed). When
she grows heavy they both pray to Allah their Lord (saying): "if Thou
givest us a goodly child we vow we shall (ever) be grateful."
190 But when He (Allah) giveth them a goodly child they ascribe to other
(deities) a share in the gift they have received: but Allah is exalted high above the partners they ascribe to Him.
191 Do they indeed ascribe to Him as partners things that can create
nothing but are themselves created?
192 No aid can they give them nor can they
aid themselves!
193 If ye call them to guidance they will not obey: for you it is the
same whether ye call them or ye hold your peace!
194 Verily those whom ye call upon besides Allah are servants like unto
you: call upon them and let them listen to your prayer if ye are (indeed)
truthful!
195 Have they feet to walk with? or hands to lay hold with? or eyes to
see with? or ears to hear with? Say:
"Call your god-partners scheme (your worst) against me and give me no
respite!
196 For my protector is Allah Who revealed the Book (from time to time)
and He will choose and befriend the righteous.
197 But those ye call upon besides Him are unable to help you and indeed
to help themselves.
198 If thou callest them to guidance they hear not. Thou wilt see them looking at thee but they
see not.”
15. Believing that
anybody can influence Allah to help us is Shirk.
16. Believing that
anybody has any power with Allah is Shirk.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 35 Surah
Fatir verses 9-10:
9 It is Allah Who sends forth the Winds so that they raise up the
Clouds and We drive them to a Land that is dead and revive the earth therewith
after its death: even so (will be) the Resurrection!
10 If any do seek for glory and power to Allah belong all glory
and power. To Him mount up (all) Words of Purity: it is He Who exalts
each Deed of Righteousness. Those that
lay Plots of Evil for them is a Penalty terrible; and the plotting of such will
be void (of result).
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah
Yunus verses 65-66:
65 Let not their speech grieve thee: for all power and honor belong to
Allah: it is He Who heareth and knoweth (all things).
66 Behold! Verily to Allah belong all creatures in the heavens and on
earth. What? Do they follow who worship
as His "partners" other than Allah? They follow nothing but fancy and they do nothing but lie.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 13 Surah
Raad verses 14-18:
14 For Him (Alone) is prayer in Truth: any others that they call upon
besides Him hear them no more than if they were to stretch forth their hands
for water to reach their mouth but it reaches them not: for the prayer of those
without Faith is nothing but (futile) wandering (in the mind).
15 Whatever beings there are in the heavens and the earth do prostrate
themselves to Allah (acknowledging subjection) with good will or in spite of
themselves: so do their shadows in the mornings and evenings.
16 Say: "Who is the Lord and Sustainer of the heavens and the
earth?" Say: "It is Allah." Say: "Do ye then take
(for worship) protectors other than Him such as have no power either for good
or for harm to themselves?" Say: "Are the blind equal with
those who see? Or the depths of darkness equal with Light?" Or do they
assign to Allah partners who have created (anything) as He has created so that
the creation seemed to them similar? Say: "Allah is the Creator of
all things: He is the One the Supreme and Irresistible."
17 He sends down water from the skies and the channels flow each
according to its measure: but the torrent bears away the foam that mounts up to
the surface. Even so from that (ore)
which they heat in the fire to make ornaments or utensils therewith there is a
scum likewise. Thus doth Allah (by
parables) show forth Truth and Vanity: for the scum disappears like froth cast
out; while that which is for the good of mankind remains on the earth. Thus doth Allah set forth parables.
18 For those who respond to their Lord are (all) good things. But those who respond not to Him even if they
had all that is in the heavens and on earth and as much more (in vain) would
they offer it for ransom. For them will
the reckoning be terrible: their abode will be Hell what a bed of misery!
17. Believing that
anybody has any power with Allah to take us out of the fire of Hell is Shirk .
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 40 Surah
Mumin verse 47-48:
Then imagine the time when these people will be
disputing with one another in Hell. The
weak ones will say to the haughty ones, “We were your followers! Now,
can you save us from some part of our punishment in Hell?” The haughty ones will say, “We are all in
the same state here, and Allah has
already passed judgment between His servants.”
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah
Anam verse 94:
(And Allah will say), “So, you have come before Us all alone, as We created you at first. Now,
you have left behind all that We gave you in the world. Now We do not see with you those ‘shufa’a’ (intercessors),
who, you believed, had a share in
moulding your destinies! All the
relations between you and them have been cut off, and all those, in whom you trusted, have left you in the lurch.”
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah
Baqarah verse 48:
And guard yourselves against the Day when no one
shall avail anyone else; nor shall
‘shafa’a’ (intercession) be accepted
from anyone; nor shall anyone be
acquitted for any amount of ransom; nor shall the guilty ones be helped from
any quarter.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 40 Surah Mumin verse 18:
O Prophet, warn them of the Day that has
approached near, when the hearts will
leap up to the throats and the people will be standing mute, grief-stricken; and the wrong-doers will neither have any
kindly friend nor any ‘shafaa’ (intercessor) who may be listened to.
18. Believing that
anybody has any power with Allah on the Day of Judgement is Shirk .
19. Believing that
anybody has any power to change the decision of Allah is Shirk .
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah
Zumar verses 44 :
What!
Have they taken besides Allah others as ‘shofa’a’ (intercessors)? Say to them, “Will they intercede even if
they have no power whatever nor understanding?”
Say, “Shafa’a is wholly in the Power of Allah Alone!”. His is the Kingdom of the heavens and the
earth. Then to Him you will be returned.
20. To worship
anybody with Allah is Shirk.
He is absolutely free from, and exalted above the shirk that they
commit.
61 Or Who has made the earth firm to live in; made rivers in its midst;
set thereon mountains immovable; and made a separating bar between the two
bodies of flowing water? (Can there be another) god besides Allah? Nay most of
them know not.
62 Or Who listens to the (soul) distressed when it calls on Him and who
relieves its suffering and makes you (mankind) inheritors of the earth? (Can
there be another) god besides Allah? Little it is that ye heed!
77 For they are enemies to me; not so the
Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds;
78 Who created me and it is He Who guides
me;
79 Who gives me food and drink
80 And when I am ill it is He Who cures me;
81 Who will cause me to die and then to live
(again);
82 And Who I hope will forgive me my faults
on the Day of Judgment...
83 O my Lord! Bestow wisdom on me and join
me with the righteous….”
21. To invoke
anybody with Allah is Shirk.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 46 Surah
Ahqaf verses 4-6:
O Prophet, say to them,
"Have you ever seen them with open eyes those whom you invoke instead of
Allah? Show me what they have created in the earth? Or have they any share in the
creation and control of the heavens? Bring me a Book revealed before this, or
produce some remnant of knowledge in support of your beliefs if you are
truthful." And who could be further astray than the one who invokes,
instead of Allah, those who cannot answer him till the Day of Resurrection.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Surah
Aaraf verse 190-196:
They associate with Allah partners who do not
create anything, but are themselves
created! Who cannot help them nor have
the power to help themselves! If you invite
them to follow the
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 16 Surah
Nahl verse 20-21:
All the other beings, whom the people invoke with Allah, create nothing! Nay,
they are themselves created.
They are DEAD, not living, and they do not at all know themselves when
they shall again be raised to life!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter16 Surah
Nahl verses 86-87:
When the people who had committed shirk in this
world will see those whom they had made associates with Allah, they will say, “Our Lord, here are those associate-deities whom we used
to invoke besides You.” At this their
deities will retort, “You are liars!” At
that time, all of them will proffer
submission before Allah, and all that
they used to forge in this world shall vanish from them.
22. To raise anybody
to the rank of Allah is Shirk.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 42 Surah
Ash-Shura verse 11:
There is Absolutely nothing like Him (Allah) in
the whole Universe!!! He is the
All-Hearing, The All-Seeing!! To Him Alone belong the keys of the treasures
of the heavens and the earth!!
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 112, Surah
Ikhlas Verse 1-4:
Say: He is Allah, the One and Only. Allah is
Independent of all, and all are dependent on Him. Neither has He any offspring,
nor is He the offspring of anyone; and NONE is equal to Him in rank.
23. To give any of
Allah`s attributes to anybody else is Shirk.
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 17 Surah
Bani Israel verses 110-111:
110 Say: "Call upon Allah or call upon Rahman: by whatever name ye
call upon Him (it is well): for to Him Alone belong the Most Beautiful Names.
Neither speak thy Prayer aloud nor speak it in a low tone but seek a middle
course between."
111 Say: "Praise be to Allah Who begets no son and has no partner
in (His) dominion: nor (needs) He any to protect Him from humiliation: Yea
magnify Him for His greatness and glory!"
24. To believe that
anybody has the power to bring about any miracles on his own is Shirk .
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 13 Surah
Raad verse 38:
We have sent many Messengers before you (O
Mohamed), and We assigned to them wives
and children. And no Messenger had the
power to show any Miracles without the sanction of Allah.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah
Anam verse 37:
These people ask: “Why has no Sign (Miracle)
been sent down to this Prophet from his Lord?”
Say (O Mohamed), “Allah Alone is able to send down a Sign
(Miracle), but most of these people do
not understand the wisdom underlying it.”
25. To go to
somebody to take our message or supplication to Allah is Shirk.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah Yunus
verse 18:
These people serve beside Allah those which can
neither harm nor benefit them, and say, “These are our ‘shofa’a’ (intercessors)
with Allah!” (O Mohammed), tell them,
“Do you wish to inform Allah of that thing which He knows not in the heavens,
or in the earth?” He is absolutely free
from, and exalted above the shirk that
they commit.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.

well wisher in Islam,
