Respected Brother Burhan and Daudibohrahelpline Team Asalamoalykam Wa Rahmat ullahay Wa Barakat.

Brother thank you for replying me but unfortunately I’m still in the state of confusion and need some more and simple answer of the following questions Is there suicide is permitted? Just to protect her self when some Muslim girl is in Helpless condition and is about to be raped whether the assaulters are Muslim are Non-Muslim.

Answer:

Is suicide permissible if raped?

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His  forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verse 29: O ye who believe! Eat not up your property among yourselves in vanities: but let there be amongst you traffic and trade by mutual good-will: nor kill (or destroy) yourselves: for verily Allah hath been to you Most Merciful.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) warned that whoever commits suicide, his punishment will be guaranteed Hell Fire, and he will be tortured in the same manner in which he killed himself.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 2.445 Narrated by Thabit bin Ad Dahhak

The Prophet (p.b.u.h) said, "Whoever commits suicide with piece of iron will be punished with the same piece of iron in the Hell Fire." Narrated Jundab the Prophet said, "A man was inflicted with wounds and he committed suicide, and so Allah said: My slave has caused death on himself hurriedly, so I forbid Paradise for him."

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 2.446 Narrated by Abu Huraira

The Prophet (saws) said, "He who commits suicide by throttling shall keep on throttling himself in the Hell Fire (forever) and he who commits suicide by stabbing himself shall keep on stabbing himself in the Hell-Fire."

Under no circumstances of desperation or impending affliction is a believer, who sincerely believes in Allah and the Last Day, permitted to take his own life!

If a helpless believing woman fears physical assault or rape, she has all the rights to defend herself and her honor to the best of her ability, and if she is killed while protecting herself and her honor; she will be honored as a Martyr on the Day of Judgment! But if in her helplessness and desperation, she opts to commit suicide, then she will commit a grave sin in the sight of Allah Subhanah and will have a very serious accounting in the Court of Allah Subhanah.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
