Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa

One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
Salamun
Alaikum!
We are students learning Islam!
Sir, kindly plz also mention the exact reference chapters and numbers from
original books of Hadiths in your answers! It wil help us seeing ourself and
refering others. It will be grateful to you!
Kindly if possible send me the following references from original!
-----------------------------------------
The
Prophet (saws) said in one of his famous narrations:
When a person dies, his book of accounts is closed except for three things:
1. Sadaqa Jaariya. ie. a person who did or spent something in the way of Allah
and people are still benefiting from it. Things like mosques, orphanages,
wells, planting of trees and the like, which outlive the person who died and
benefiting the ummah.
2. Ilm un Naafe`ah. ie. a person who spread knowledge of Islam and people are
still benefiting from it after his death. Things like lectures, writing books,
good advice he gave to people, or any other knowledge of Islam that the person
helped in spreading the word of Allah.
3. Ibn us Saleh. ie. his children who regularly pray to Allah to forgive their
father/mother who died.
----------------------------------------------
It has
been reported by Imam Ali ibn Abu Talib (r.a.) that the Prophet (saws) said: If
anyone introduces an innovation (in religion), he will be responsible for it.
If anyone introduces an innovation or gives shelter to a man who introduces an
innovation (in religion), he is cursed by Allah, by His angels, and by all the
people.
---------------------------------------------
It has been reported by Jabir ibn Abdullah (r.a.) in another authentic
narration that the Prophet of Allah (saws) said in a sermon: “The best speech
is that which is embodied in the Book of Allah, the Al Quran ; and
the best guidance is the guidance given by me, Mohamed (saws). The most evil
affairs are the innovations, and every innovation is an error.”
(There may be some grammatical and spelling
errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from
questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in

Answer:
Hadith Reference
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is no one (no idol, no person, no
grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
May Allah Subhanah bless and increase your quest for
seeking and studying the Knowledge and Truth, bestow His Mercy upon you, and
give you, us and all the believers the wisdom and the courage to remain
steadfast on this deen of Truth. Ameen.
The references for the above quoted three narrations are:
Sahih Muslim Hadith 4005 Narrated by Abu Hurayrah
Allah's Messenger (saws) said: ‘When a man
dies, all his acts come to an end, but three: ‘Sadaqah Jaariyah (recurring
charity), ‘Ilm ul Nafia’ (beneficial
knowledge), and ‘Ibn-us-Saleh’ or a pious son who prays for him (the
deceased).’
Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 4515 Narrated by Ali ibn AbuTalib
Qays ibn Abbad and Ashtar went to Ali and
said to him: ‘Did the Messenger of Allah (saws) give you any instruction about
anything for which he did not give any instruction to the people in
general?’ Ali said: ‘No, except what is
contained in this document of mine.’
Musaddad said: ‘He (Ali) then took out a document.’ Ahmad said: ‘A
document from the sheath of his sword.
It contained: “The lives of all Muslims are equal; they are one hand
against others; the lowliest of them can guarantee their protection. Beware, a
Muslim must not be killed for an infidel, nor must one who has been given a
covenant be killed while his covenant holds. If anyone introduces an
innovation, he will be responsible for it. If anyone introduces an
innovation or gives shelter to a man who introduces an innovation (in
religion), he is cursed by Allah, by His Angels, and by all the people.”
Sahih Muslim Hadith 1885 Narrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah
When Allah's Messenger (saws) delivered the
sermon, his eyes became red, his voice rose, and his anger increased so that he
was like one giving a warning against the enemy and saying: "The enemy has
made a morning attack on you and in the evening too." He (saws) would also say: "The last
Hour and I have been sent like these two," and he would join his
forefinger and middle finger. He (saws) would continue: "The best
speech is that embodied in the Book of Allah, and the best guidance is the guidance
given by Muhammad. The most evil affairs are their innovations; and every
innovation is an error." He would add: "I am dearer to a Muslim
than even his self. He who has left behind property, that is for his family,
and he who dies in debt or leaves children (in helplessness), the
responsibility (of paying his debt and bringing up his children) lies on
me."
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
Your brother and well wisher in
Islam,
Burhan
