Answer:
The Three ashara of Ramadhan Ten days
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is no one (no idol, no person, no
grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
There is a narration which records that the Messenger of
Allah (saws) divided the month of Ramadan in three parts of ten days and said
the first ten days represent the Mercy of Allah, the second ten represent the
forgiveness of Allah, and the last ten days represent safety from the Hell
Fire; but the majority of the scholars have declared this narration weak.
There is absolutely no doubt that the whole month is a
month of Mercy, Forgiveness, and an opportunity for the believers to save
themselves from the torment of the Hell Fire.
One must strive the whole month in the sincere worship of their Lord
Most Merciful, recite as much of the Glorious Quran as they can, offer as many
voluntary ‘nafl’ prayers as they can, give as much ‘sadaqa’ and charity as
possible, and spend as much of the nights of this blessed month seeking
forgiveness and safety from the Hell Fire from their Lord Most Gracious.
Although the whole month is blessed and overflowing with
Mercy and Grace, the climax and pinnacle of this month is that the Lord has
graced the believers with a night in this blessed month which is better than a
thousand months!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 97 Surah
Al-Qadr verses 1-3:
1 We have indeed revealed this (Quran) in
the Night of Power:
2 And what will explain to thee what the
Night of Power is?
3 The Night of Power is better than a Thousand
Months!
Aishah said: "I asked the Messenger of
Allah (saws): 'O Messenger of Allah (saws), if I know what night is the Night
of Qadr, what should I say during it?' He
(saws) said: 'Say: Allah humma innaka Afuwan, tohibull afwa, fahfo anna. (O Allah, You are Pardoning and You love to
pardon, so pardon me.)
