Answer:

Meaning kursi verse throne

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: Could you kindly let me know the complete indetail meaning of Ayatul Kursi

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 255:

255 Allah! There is no Allah but He the living the Self-subsisting Eternal. No slumber can seize Him nor sleep. His are all things in the heavens and on earth. Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth? He knoweth what (appeareth to his creatures as) before or after or behind them. Nor shall they compass aught of His knowledge except as He Willeth. His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. For He is The Most High, The Supreme (in Glory).

Ref: Allah! There is no god but He, The Living, The Self-subsisting Eternal.

Though the ignorant might invent and make several ‘gods’ and set up objects, idols, and images for worship…the Truth is and remains that the whole of creation belongs to The One Lord God Who Created, and He neither has, nor has nominated, nor are there any partners in His Godhead whatsoever. Allah Subhanah Alone is the Ever-Living and does not die, and He Alone is the One Who gives life to whom He Wills and Pleases. He Alone is the One Who sustains and provides for all in His creation. He Alone is the Supreme Master of His Kingdom. There is absolutely no one who is a partner in His Attributes, His Characteristics, His Powers, and His Rights. Hence a manifest, blatant, and blasphemous lie is invented whenever any false god is set up, and it is these blasphemous liars who wage a war against the One Unconditional Truth: There is no god except the One True Lord, Allah Subhanah.

Ref: No slumber can seize Him nor sleep.

This statement absolutely refutes the misconception of Allah Subhanah which is based on the false assumption that He (I seek refuge in Allah from even saying this!) has such weaknesses and limitations of the human beings like slumber, sleep, tiredness, etc.

The Lord Most Supreme Declares that He Alone is free and far exalted from any and all weakness whatsoever…No slumber has the power to seize Him, nor does sleep ever overtake Him. His is the sole authority over the heavens and the earth, and He Alone is in complete and absolute control of absolutely everything in creation.

Ref: His are all things in the heavens and on earth.

To Allah Subhanah Alone belong everything in the heavens and the earth and all that exists between it…for He Alone is the Creator, Master, Owner, Sustainer, and Cherisher of everything in existence without exception; and no one, absolutely no one has any part or share in His Ownership, His Authority, His Kingdom, His Sovereignty, and His Supreme Rule.

Anyone or anything that can be conceived as a ‘god’ will surely, without an iota of a doubt, be but a part of the universe which the Supreme Lord God has created….thus there is absolutely no question of anyone or anything being His partner or rival or equal….Far Far Far Exalted is Allah Subhanah with everything and everyone they associate with Him!

Ref: Who is there can intercede in His presence except as He permitteth?

Allah absolutely and totally refutes the misconception held by the ignorant who are under the delusion that their self-appointed saints, or holy men, or nominated ‘gods’ have the power or are able to intercede with Allah Subhanah, the Supreme Lord of the Worlds! None, absolutely none in creation has the power to intercede, or influence, or force the Lord Most Majestic to do their will!

The ignorant ones who hold such a belief are warned and made aware that none in creation can or will be able to stand in the Presence of the Majestic Lord and utter even a single word without His Precise Permission and Will…leave alone be able to intercede, or influence or force the Lord Most Majestic to their bidding!

Ref: He knoweth what (appeareth to his creatures as) before or after or behind them.

Allah Subhanah Alone possesses the Attribute of being All-Knowing, All-Aware, All-Wise….and He Alone possess the full and complete knowledge of every single minute detail of what has passed, what is happening, and what will happen in the future!

Ref: Nor shall they compass aught of His Knowledge except as He Willeth.

The Lord Most High Alone is the All-Knowing All-Aware and Knows in the minutest detail regarding everything and everyone in His kingdom. There is none, and we reiterate none in creation who has the Power to encompass aught of the Lord’s Knowledge, except that the Lord Himself be Pleased and Willing to bestow some of His Knowledge to whom He Wills, Pleases, and Plans.

Ref: His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them.

His ‘kursi’ or His Supreme Throne which extends over all the heavens and the earth and all that exists between it symbolizes His Majestic, Total and Unconditional Authority over everything, absolutely everything that exists. Because the Lord is far above having any weakness that encompass the human being, one should know with absolute conviction that any limitations, leave alone frivolous limitations like fatigue, or slumber, or sleep or death do not even have the right or power to approach The Lord Most Majestic, Most Supreme! He is in total and absolute command and control over absolutely everything in creation, and He never tires in guarding or preserving what He Wills to Create and Sustain.

Ref: For He is The Most High, The Supreme (in Glory).

There is nothing in creation which is Higher than the Lord Most High; and there is nothing in existence which supercedes Him and His Glory…for The Lord Creator is Majestically Supreme in His Glory!

Such is the significance of this one verse of Surah Baqarah, that the Messenger of Allah (saws) called it the Greatest Verse in the whole of the Glorious Quran!

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2169 Narrated by Ayfa' ibn Abdul Kila'i

Ayfa' told of a man who asked Allah's Messenger (saws) which Surah of the Qur'an was the greatest and was he told that it was the Surah Al-Ikhlaas (Quran 112). He asked which Verse of the Qur'an was greatest and was told that it was the Verse of the Throne (Aayat-ul-Kursi Surah Baqarah 255). He asked Allah's Messenger (saws) which Verse he would like to bring good to him and his people and was told, "The end of Surah al-Baqarah, for it is one of the treasures of Allah's mercy from under His Throne, which He gave to these people, and there is no good in this world and the next, which it does not include."

The Aayat-ul-Kursi declares that such is the Magnificence of your and our Lord, the One and Only Lord of the Worlds….so that the people who receive this Message know that there is none in the universe who deserves submission and worship except the One and Only Lord and Creator, The Most Gracious, The Most Glorious. This Beautiful verse once and for all puts to absolute rest and humiliation the thought or the belief that the Lord Most Supreme has even the slightest need for a ‘partner’ in the creating and running of the affairs of the universe, or that anyone or anything in creation has any knowledge or any power in the least! This Verse epitomizes the concept of ‘Tawheed’ (absolute monotheism) and once and for all breaks the back and delivers the final ‘death-blow’ to the evil and false concept of ‘shirk’ (polytheism) of those who associate other ‘gods’ with Allah, or even those who invoke the graves and shrines of the pious slaves of Allah in the false and baseless belief that they have the power to intercede with Allah or influence His Decisions!

The Messenger of Allah (saws) advised the believers to recite this Glorious Verse of the Quran which describes some of the Most Magnificent Attributes of the Lord Creator as often as they could, for even though the recitation of the verse is easy on the tongue, its weight is indeed great in the Scales and Sight of Allah.

Abu Umamah reported that the Prophet (saws) said, "Whoever recites the Verse of the Throne (al-Baqarah:255) at the end of every prayer, nothing will prevent him from entering Paradise except that (he must) die (first)."

Related by an-Nasa'i and at-Tabarani.

Ali reported that the Prophet (saws) said, "Whoever recites the Verse of the Throne at the end (after) of every obligatory prayer will be in Allah's protection until the next prayer."

This is related by at-Tabarani.

Fiqh-us-Sunnah Fiqh 2.15a

Ref: Al-Qunut in the Witr

It is part of Sunnah to supplicate with qunut in the witr prayer during the entire year. Ahmad, at-Tirmidhi, an-Nasa'i, Abu Dawud, Ibn Majah, and others record that al-Hassan ibn 'Ali said: "The Messenger of Allah (saws) taught me the [following] words to say in (qunut) during the witr prayer: 'O Allah, guide me among those whom You have guided. Grant me safety among those whom You have granted safety. Take me into Your charge among those whom You have taken into Your charge. Bless me in what You have given me. Protect me from the evil that You have decreed, for You decree and nothing is decreed for You. And there is no humiliation for whom You take as a ward. Blessed and Exalted are You, our Lord. ' "

One may make any and as many supplications one wishes in the ‘Qunut’ supplication to their Lord Most High.

Your Question: Also, is the sawab we receive when recited in English (ie; translation) same as that we receive when we recite in Arabic. Kindly confirm.

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2137 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas'ud

Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "If anyone recites a letter from Allah's Book he will be credited with a good deed, and a good deed gets a tenfold reward. I do not say that ‘Alif-Lam-Mim’ are one letter, but ‘Alif’ is a letter, ‘Lam’ is a letter, and ‘Mim’ is a letter."

Although, without an iota of a doubt, every single alphabet one recites from the Glorious Book of Allah in the language it was Revealed in earns huge and multiple reward.....there is no doubt that one who wishes to study and learn the meaning of the Glorious Quran so that he/she may implement its guidance in their lives and/or convey its Message to their brethren in humanity….their reward and rank in the Sight of the Lord is superior.

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 257 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Amr

Allah's Messenger (saws) happened to pass by two groups (of muslims) in the mosque and he (saws) said: ‘Both of them are good, but one is superior to the other. One group is supplicating Allah and praying to Him. If He so wills, He will confer upon them and if He so wills He will withhold. So far as those who are acquiring the understanding of religion and its knowledge and are busy in teaching the ignorant, they are superior. Verily I have been sent as a teacher.’ He (saws) then sat down amongst them.

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 256 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Abbas

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: ‘Acquiring knowledge in company for an hour in the night is better than spending the whole night in prayer.’

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 249 Narrated by Al-Hasan al-Basri

Allah's Messenger (saws) said: ‘He whom death overtakes while he is engaged in acquiring knowledge with a view to reviving Islam with the help of it, there will be one degree between him and the Prophets in Paradise.’

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 220 Narrated by Anas ibn Malik

Allah's Messenger (saws) said: ‘One who goes out to search for knowledge is (devoted) to the cause of Allah till he returns.’

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
