Wet dream fajr prayers
Mu` meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa
Barakatuh. (May Allah`s Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our
brothers/sisters has asked this question:
Assalam waleku,
Last couple of week
I`m not able to perform `fajar` prayer. When I wake up in the morning, i find
that my inner wear is little wet. Although I don`t sleep on stomach still it`s
happeining with me. Please guide me how to avoid it. After changing the cloths
can I perform the namaz or taking bath is must?
(There may be some grammatical and spelling
errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from

Answer:
Wet dream
fajr prayers
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam,
no dai, nobody!) worthy of
worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His
slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
If
your underwear is excessively wet, or if there is a particular smell; then the chances are that it was an
ejaculation from a ‘wet-dream’, and thus the ghusl is necessary to purify
yourself for prayer.
But if there is no particular
smell, nor do you remember that you saw
a ‘wet-dream’, it is possible that the
wetness is due to sweat drops, or even
maybe some drops of urine. In such a
case, you need to only wash the area
where the urine drops might have touched the body and clothes, and be available for prayer.
Simply on a doubt, you should not delay or leave your
prayers. Only if you are convinced and
remember that you witnessed a ‘wet-dream’ in your sleep, you should perform the ghusl or full bath to
purify yourself.
Involuntary nocturnal discharge
is a natural phenomena, and there is
nothing one can do to avoid it.
Whatever written of
Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever
of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows
Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
Your Brother in Islam,
Burhan
