Answer:

Bohra curses

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Beloved sister in Islam, we understand and appreciate your position, and recognize that when one sincerely believes in something (even though it may be false), it is only natural that the person will try to defend his belief, and may even abuse and fight with the one who says anything contrary to their belief! But wisdom would be if one allows the other person to give his views; and if the views are acceptable to him, he should adopt them, and the views are not acceptable to him, he has a right to reject them.

The biggest right of one who is created is to his Creator; if one compromises to give the Creator His due Rights, then indeed one has done wrong!

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verses 21-22:

21 O mankind! Worship your Guardian-Lord Who Created you and those who came before you; that ye may have the chance to learn righteousness.

22 Who has made the earth your couch, and the heaven your canopy; and sent down rain from the heavens; and brought forth therewith fruits for your sustenance; then set not up rivals unto Allah when ye know (the Truth).

Dear and Beloved Sister, Allah is our witness, we are not the enemies nor do we hate our Bohra brethren….but what we do hate and despise is what our Lord Allah Subhanah has Commanded us to hate; that is, the evil abomination of ‘shirk’ or associating others with Allah Subhanah!

Just as a doctor does not hate his patients but rather he hates the disease that accompanies the patient; Allah is our witness sister, we do not hate our brethren, but our only endeavor is to make our brethren realize the spiritual disease of ‘shirk’ which they unknowingly commit in the name of their deen.

Allah is our witness sister, if you too knew what Allah Subhanah describes in His Glorious Quran as ‘shirk’ and the punishments that await those who die in the state of ‘shirk’ in the Hereafter, you too would hate and despise this evil and unforgivable abomination.

Allah says in the Quran: Chapter 4 Surah An-Nisa Verse 48

Shirk (associating others with Allah) is the only sin that Allah does not forgive, and He forgives, whomsoever He pleases, sins other than this, for whosoever associates any other partner with Allah, does indeed forge a big lie and commits the most heinous sin!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah Maidah verse 72:

Whoever commits ‘shirk’’, Allah shall forbid for him Paradise, and Hell shall be his abode. And for such wrong doers there will be no one to help.

Beloved Sister, I too was born to Bohra parents, and for a better part of my life grew up believing and practicing the faith of my forefathers …. unconditionally obeying the priests and their families, bowing to them in ‘sajdah’, treating them over and above our own families, paying them whatever and whenever they demanded, invoking and worshipping the graves of their forefathers, etc.; believing that these priests were chosen to guide me to the truth of the Hereafter!

Although I did witness and see and my heart felt the abuses these priests committed in the name of Islam, I kept my head down and did not dare utter even a word against them for fear of losing my Hereafter! Until one day, when Allah Subhanah in His Sublime and Infinite Mercy, guided me to read and understand His Revealed Message of the Quran which I later realized the ‘priests’ had tried their best to keep away from our understanding!

My beloved sister, our Bohra brethren are made to believe that everything their priests commands them to do is in accordance with the guidance of the Glorious Quran; but Allah is our witness, nothing could be further from the Truth! If you just take a look at your ‘deeni’ education, you will realize that they might claim to teach you in their ‘dars’ and ‘waaz’ from everywhere, except that they never ever dare to teach you anything from the Glorious Quran!!!!

They tell you to read and recite it day and night, but always warn you never ever to try and understand it….for its understanding would only misguide you! How can the Book which Allah Subhanah has revealed for the guidance of mankind until the end of time ever misguide one who wishes to be guided aright???

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 185:

Ramadan is the month in which the Quran was sent down: this Book is a Perfect Guidance for mankind and consists of clear Teachings which show the Right Way, and are a Criterion of the Truth and falsehood.

Not even in their premium institution of ‘Jamea-tus-Saifeeyah’, where they churn out their ‘soldiers’ to keep their followers in check do they have a course or class whereby the students are ever taught the understanding of the Glorious Quran!

Dear and Beloved Sister, we request you not to take our word….but instead try for yourself this humble exercise if indeed you are seeking the Truth. Go to your local ‘aamil’ or ‘bhaisaheb’ and in all humility simply request them that you wish to understand from them the Message your Lord Creator has revealed for your guidance from the first Surah to the last….and I bet my life on it, that if the ‘aamil’ or ‘bhaisaheb’ is good and merciful he will procrastinate the subject and if the ‘aamil’ or ‘bhaisaheb’ is normal, he will immediately challenge your faith and warn you that the Quran will bring you nothing but misguidance!!!

My dear and beloved Sister, you owe it to yourself that at least once in your lifetime, you read the Glorious Quran with understanding even only once, if indeed you wish to be guided aright….

How unfortunate would it be for some people on that Inevitable Day of Resurrection, when all the promises of Allah Subhanah would come absolutely true and all the claims of the self-proclaimed priests would be proven as falsehoods! If only our brethren would realize today from the Glorious Quran what they will realize on the Day of Judgment in the Presence of their Lord All-Mighty….

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anam verse 70:

And leave alone those who have taken their ‘deen’ as a sport and past-time, and have been deluded by the life of this world. Nevertheless, you go on admonishing them by reciting the Quran to them, lest any person should be seized because of his own deeds; and that too, at a time, when there would be no protector, no helper and no intercessor to rescue him from Allah; when no conceivable amount of ransom would be accepted from him. This is because such people shall be seized, in consequence of what they themselves had earned.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 16 Surah Nahl verse 89:

We have sent down to you this Book, which makes everything plain, and is a guidance, blessing and good news to those who have surrendered themselves entirely.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 18 Surah Kahf verse 1-3:

All praise is for Allah Alone, Who has sent down this Book to His Servant (Mohamed (saws), and assigned nothing crooked to it. This Book says everything directly, so that he may warn the people of the severe chastisement of Allah and give good news to the believers, who do righteous deeds, that they will have an excellent reward.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anaam verse 157-158:

Now that a clear proof, a Guidance and Blessing, has come to you from your Lord, who can be more unjust than the one who treats Our Revelations as false and turns away from them? We will inflict the severest torment on those who turn away from Our Revelations because of their aversion. Do the people now await that the angels should come down before them? Or that your Lord may Himself come down? Or that the manifest Signs of your Lord should appear?

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 7 Surah Aaraaf verses 52-53:

We have brought to these people a Book which gives details based on knowledge and which is a guidance and blessing for those who believe. Now, are these people waiting for anything other than the consequence of which they have been warned in the Book? When the consequence will come before them, those very people who aforetime had disregarded it, will say, “Indeed, the Messenger of our Lord had come with the Truth. Shall we have, then, any ‘shufaa’ who will intercede for us? Or could we be sent back that we might do deeds different from those we did before?” They have, indeed, incurred heavy loss upon themselves, and all the false things they had invented have forsaken them today.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 30 Surah Rum verses 58-60:

We have set forth in this Quran every sort of argument to make the people understand; but whatever ‘aayah’ you may bring, the disbelievers will certainly say, “You are following falsehood”. Thus does Allah seal up the hearts of those who understand not. So, patiently perservere; for surely the promise of Allah is True. And let not those who have no certainty of faith, shake your firmness.

My dear and beloved Sister in Islam, only if you knew the condition of the false ‘priests’ and ‘deities’ and those who followed them in defiance of the guidance of the Quran….only if you knew the torment this unconditional obedience of the ‘priests’ would bring upon their followers…..only if you knew the reality of what will transpire in the Presence of the Majestic Lord on that Tumultuous Day …..Allah is our witness, you too would turn in obedience to the Commands of your Lord Creator in His Glorious Quran!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 6 Surah Anam verse 94:

(And Allah will say), “So, you have come before Us all alone, as We created you at first. Now, you have left behind all that We gave you in the world. Now We do not see with you those ‘shufa’a’(intercessors), who, you believed, had a share in moulding your destinies! All the relations between you and them have been cut off, and all those, in whom you trusted, have left you in the lurch.”

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 48:

And guard yourselves against the Day when no one shall avail anyone else; nor shall ‘shafa’a’ (intercession) be accepted from anyone; nor shall anyone be acquitted for any amount of ransom; nor shall the guilty ones be helped from any quarter.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah Yunus verse 18:

These people worship beside Allah those which can neither harm nor benefit them, and say, “These are our ‘shofa’a’ (intercessors) with Allah!” O Mohammed, tell them, “Do you wish to inform Allah of that thing which He knows to be neither in the heavens nor in the earth?” He is absolutely free from, and exalted above the shirk that they commit.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 40 Surah Mumin verse 18:

O Prophet, warn them of the Day that has approached near, when the hearts will leap up to the throats and the people will be standing mute, grief-stricken; and the wrong-doers will neither have any kindly friend nor any ‘shafaa’ (intercessor) who may be listened to.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 40 Surah Mumin verse 47-48:

Then imagine the time when these people will be disputing with one another in Hell. The weak ones will say to the haughty ones, “We were your followers! Now, can you save us from some part of our punishment in Hell?” The haughty ones will say, “We are all in the same state here, and Allah has already passed judgment between His servants.”

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 41 Surah Ha Meem Sajdah verse 47-48:

Then on the Day when Allah will call out to the people asking, “Where are those associates of Mine?” They will say, “We have submitted: there is none of us to bear witness to that.” At that time, all those deities whom they used to invoke before this, shall be lost to them, and they will realize that they have no refuge.

My dear and beloved sister in Islam, curse and abuse us as much as you wish, but for your own sake, even if only once, pick up the Glorious Quran and read it with understanding. If you are sincere in your search for the Truth, those whom you trust as your friends and well-wishers might in reality be your worst enemies, and those whom you might think are your foes might in reality be your best friends and well-wishers!

My dear and beloved Sister, our only duty as your brothers and well-wishers in faith is to invite you to the Truth of the Quran. The decision to accept or reject the invitation each individual has to make for himself! Neither are we responsible for your deeds, nor you for ours….and Allah Subhanah Alone will decide who amongst mankind accepted His Call to obedience and who amongst mankind chose to obey and follow others beside Him.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah Yunus verses 40-44:

Some of these people will believe in (The Quran), and others will not. Your Lord knows these mischief-makers very well indeed. If these people deny you, say to them: “I am responsible for my deeds and you are for yours. You are not accountable for what I do, nor am I for what you do.” There are many among them who hear what you say, but will you make the deaf to listen to you, even though they be incapable of understanding this? Then there are many others among them who see you. But will you show the way to the blind, even though they be bereft of sight? The fact is that Allah does not in any way wrong the people, but they wronged themselves!

If one trusts, obeys, and follows the guidance and commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of never ever being misled; but if one believes, obeys and follows any other guidance, other than that of Allah and His Messenger (saws), one can be assured of being led astray.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
