Prophet (saws)alive spiritually in the Grave?
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa
Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked
this question:
Assalamoalaikum
wa rehmatullah.
i read a response of your`s to a question re "the issue of prophet
mohammed {pbuh} being alive in grave and being able to hear things....
etc."
i am content with your reply to that question BUT i would like to ask you
something with regards to this issue.
my brother is bait {allegiance} into a sufi silsala {clan} and one of our sufi
brothers who delivers speeches says that prophet mohammed {pbuh} have although
died from this world {physically} but are alive SPIRITUALLY in their grave?
what do you say to this respected brother burhan?
Secondly, my brother has a picture of his late peer sahab {hazrat sufi mohammed
aslam sahab{rehmatullah alai} in a plaque hung on our wall @ home. i read you
response to having pictures of animals and human beings at home and how rehmat
kai farishtey don`t enter suh homes.
well my point is, the late sufi sahab were a real man of allah totally piest
and a vali! would hanging their picture at home still be considered wrong?

Answer:
Prophet (saws) Alive Spiritually in Grave
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is no one (no idol, no person,
no grave, no prophet, no
imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah
Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the
seal of His Messengers.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah
Baqarah verse 255:
255 Allah! There is no god but He (Alone), The Ever-Living, The
Self-Subsisting Eternal.
One of the Noble and Exclusive Attributes of Allah
Subhanah is that He Alone is the Ever-Living. It is the inherent nature of all
creation, and I repeat, all creation without exception, that they shall perish
one day!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 28 Surah
Qasas verse 88:
88 And call not besides Allah on another god. There is no god but He. Everything
(that exists) will perish, except His Own Face. To Him belongs the Command and to Him
will ye (all) be brought back.
Regardless of whether one in creation is a Prophet of
Allah or anyone else, if one believes that there is someone in creation who is
ever-living, one would have dared to share an Exclusive Attribute that belongs
to Allah Subhanah with one in creation; and that would be a manifest form of
the abomination of ‘shirk’!
Allah is our witness, the Prophets of Allah were human
beings and Allah’s slave-servants who were sent with a
The physical bodies of the deceased are buried in the
graves, and the spirit of each in creation are returned back to their Lord and
deposited in the realms of ‘Barzakh’ as Decreed by Allah

alive can have any contact or information regarding the spirits of the dead,
nor the spirits of the dead in the realms of ‘barzakh’ have any
communication or information regarding the ones who are alive!

Sahih Al-Bukhari
Hadith 7.841 Narrated
by Abu Talha
The Messenger of
Allah (saws) said, "
Regardless of how good or pious a person was, even if one
was the Prophet of Allah, the prohibition of the display of animate pictures by
the Messenger of Allah (saws) would apply at all times.
If one displays any animate picture in one’s houses,
one would be in clear violation of the Sunnah and Command of the Messenger of
Allah (saws).
