Answer:

What happens to non muslim fighter?

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 17 Surah Israa verse 33: Nor take life which Allah has made sacred, except for Just Cause.

Dear and Beloved Brother in Islam, Allah Subhanah has declared human life absolutely sacred regardless of whether one is a believer or a disbeliever. The only time one is permitted to fight battle or take the other’s life intentionally is only in ‘Just Causes’ as specifically prescribed by Allah and His Messenger (saws). If one takes life intentionally without ‘Just Cause’ as prescribed by Allah and His Messenger (saws), regardless of whether the life taken is that of a believer or a disbeliever, the person will be not only a murderer in the sight of the law of this world, but also in the sight of Allah Subhanah in the Hereafter; and a grievous punishment would await him! Such is the sanctity of human life prescribed by Allah and His Messenger (saws).

Your Question: what will happen to people who died in fighting for non muslim cause even though they were muslims like for eg :- a indian soldier dies fighting Pakistan

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 1.51 Narrated by Umar bin Al Khattab

Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions, and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended.”

If a believer joins a pagan army, and his intention is to earn a living or to protect the pagan land or honor, and kills or is killed in the process; he will earn his reward according to what he intended in the Court of Allah Subhanah.

It is not legal nor does it behove a believer, who sincerely fears Allah and the Last Day, to fight battle or take life without Just Cause as described by Allah and His Messenger (saws); and fighting for a pagan country, or for money, of for one’s language, or color, or race, or to protect a pagan nation or its honor, etc. are not Just Causes; thus the person, whether he kills or is killed in battle will have a severe accounting in the Just and Supreme Court of Allah Subhanah on the Day of Judgment.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verses 74-76:

74 Let those fight in the cause of Allah who sell the life of this world for the Hereafter. To him who fighteth in the Cause of Allah, whether he is slain or gets victory, soon shall We give him a reward of great (value).

75 And why should ye not fight in the cause of Allah and of those who being weak are ill-treated (and oppressed)? Men women and children whose cry is: "O Our Lord! Rescue us from this town whose people are oppressors; and raise for us from Thee one who will protect; and raise for us from Thee one who will help!"

76 Those who believe, fight in the cause of Allah; and those who reject faith; fight in the cause of evil: so fight ye against the friends of Shaytaan: feeble indeed is the cunning of Shaytaan!

It would be absolutely certain that under present circumstances, the Indian army would not be fighting in the Cause of Allah Subhanah; thus if a believer chooses to fight in the Indian army, and subsequently kills or is killed, he will not be fighting for a Just Cause! Although his position as a soldier might justify his killings in battle in the life of this world, he will not be in a position to defend himself in the Majestic Presence of the Just Lord of the Worlds in the Hereafter.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verse 85: Whoever recommends and helps a good cause becomes a partner therein: and whoever recommends and helps an evil cause shares in its burden: and Allah hath power over all things.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
