Night of Glory
Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa
Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be
upon all of you)
One of our
brothers/sisters has asked this question:
Dear Brother Burhan,
Salaam alei kum w.r.w.b
Eid Mubarak. May Allah bless you! Please explain the below aayaat The angels and the Spirit (Hadrat
Jibrael a.s.) descend in it
with every decree, by the leave of their Lord The decree mentioned in this ayat is it the decree sent to the Messenger of Allah (SAS)
for sunnah and the fard or
is it the decree sent for us. If the decree is what was sent to Messenger of
Allah (SAS) then the night of glory was at the time of the prophet (SAS) and
there is no more night of glory. But if the decree is sent to us then the night
of Glory is there till the Judgment day.

Answer:
Night of Glory
In the name of Allah, We praise
Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none
can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright.
We bear witness that there is no one (no idol,
no person, no grave, no
prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone,
and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of
His Messengers.
The decree mentioned in the
above aayah is not the regular commands of Allah to
the Messenger (saws) which were revealed through ‘wahi’
to the Prophet. These decrees are the
important decisions and commands of Allah Subhanah
for the coming year or years, with which the angels descend… like which people
are to be honored, which people are to be destroyed because of their
disobedience, etc.
Allah says in another
place in the Quran Chapter 44 Surah
Dukhaan verses 3-4:We have
sent it (The Quran) down in a highly blessed night,
for We intended to warn the people.
This is a night in which every matter is decided wisely by Our Command.
Thus, this night is a Night in
Allah’s Divine Administration in which He decrees the destinies of individuals,
nations, and countries and entrusts His Decisions to the angels, who implement
them accordingly.
Whatever written of Truth and
benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error
is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He
is the Only Source of Strength.

Burhan
