Answer:
Is mani sperm najis
impure
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His
help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide,
and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear
witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear
witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His
Messengers.
Sahih Muslim Hadith 572 Narrated by Aisha
Abdullah ibn Shihab al-Khawlani reported: ‘I
stayed in the house of Aisha and had a wet dream (and perceived its effect on
my garment), so (in the morning) I dipped both (the clothes) in water. This
(act of mine) was watched by a maid-servant of Aisha and she informed her. She
(Aisha) sent me a message: ‘What prompted you to act like this with your clothes?’
He (the narrator) said: ‘I informed her that I saw in a dream what a sleeper
sees.’ She (Hadrat Aisha (r.a.)) said: ‘Did you find (any fluid) on your
clothes?’ I said: ‘No’. She said: ‘Had you found anything you should
have washed it. In case I found that (the semen) on the garment of the
Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) dried up, I scraped it off with my
nails, and the Messenger of Allah (saws) would offer his prayers in that
garment’.
If one finds that one’s garments are soiled with semen,
and one perceives the semen in liquid form on their garments, it would be
obligatory for the believers to wash (at least) that part of the garment before
they wish to offer prayer in that garment.
But if one finds that the semen has thoroughly dried on
the garment, it would suffice for one to thoroughly scrape the semen from the
garment before they wish to offer prayer wearing that garment.
The absolute majority of the scholars and jurists in Islam
are of the opinion that if the semen is wet and in a fluid form it is impure
and one must wash the garment before one offers prayers in it; but if the semen
has thoroughly dried, it would not be considered impure; thus if one thoroughly
scrapes the dried semen off their clothes, it would be lawful for them to offer
their prayers in those garments. And
Allah Alone Knows Best.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only
due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me
alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is
the Only Source of Strength.
Your brother and
well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
