Shave unwanted hair from backside
Mu' meneen Brothers
and Sisters,
As Salaam Aleikum wa
Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be
upon all of you)
One of our
brothers/sisters has asked this question:
Assalamu Alaikum,
I hope u r well by
the grace of Allah (SWT). Excellent stuff you are doing
for Muslim Ummah
... two thumbs up! :)
The question
actually I wanted to ask is abt shaving of private parts.
Which parts
exactly need to be shaven? I mean I read in a hadith abt shaving unwanted hair below
navel, but does that also mean shaving the back portion? (the hair on butt?)
Jazakumullahu
Khair.
Wassalamu Alaikum!

Answer:
Shave unwanted hair from
backside
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows
to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no
one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam,
no dai, nobody!) worthy of
worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His
slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
It is not only permissible, but highly recommended that one pluck, cut,
or shave his unwanted hair from the armpits and the pubic area. Removal of unwanted hair is a natural or
fitrah Sunnah; and it is recorded that
the Messenger (saws) and his noble companions removed their unwanted hair
regularly.
There is no harm if one has
excessive growth and wishes to shave his back portion.
Whatever written of Truth and
benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error
is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He
is the Only Source of Strength.
Your Brother in
Islam,
Burhan
