Answer:

Aqiqa rites and good name

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

May Allah Subhanah bless you and your family in this world and in the Hereafter.

Q-1: Please advice me about AKIKAH

Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 2832 Narrated by Samurah ibn Jundub

The Prophet (saws) said: ‘A boy is in pledge for his Aqiqah, sacrifice is made for him on the seventh day, his head is shaved and he is given name.’

The rite of the Aqiqah sacrifice is a Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (saws) and is as done follows:

Sacrifice of two sheeps or goats if boy, and one sheep or goat if girl on the 7th day after the birth of the baby

After the Aqiqah on 7th day, assign a good name to the baby.

Shave the head and give weight of hair in silver as sadaqa (charity).

Eat the meat yourself and distribute to friends/family and needy.

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 4154 Narrated by Ali ibn AbuTalib

Allah's Messenger (saws) sacrificed a sheep on the seventh day for al-Hasan and said, "Shave his head, Fatimah, and give the weight of his hair in silver as sadaqah." So they weighed it and it amounted to a dirham or part of a dirham.

Q-2: also choose a Islamic name for my new baby. The doctor tell me the next baby is also a son.But it is upon Allah. So please choose 2 names ( son and daugter ).

Among the best Islamic names are Abd-Allah and Abd-ar-Rahmaan. Also, any name whereby one declares his subjugation to one of the many attributes of Allah, like Abddus-Shukoor, Abdul-Maalik, Abdur-Razzaak, Abdul-Khaalik, etc. are considered good Islamic names.

Then there are the names of any of the Prophets of Allah like Adam, Nooh, Ibraheem, Moosa, Yahya, Isa, Idrees, Sulaimaan, Dawood, Mohamed, etc. Any of these names are good names for boys.

And then there are the hundreds if not thousands of names of the noble companions of the Last Messenger of Allah (saws) like Abu Bakr, Umar, Uthman, Ali, Bilaal, Salmaan, Hudhaifa, Khalid, Ammaar, Yaasir, etc. Any of these names will be considered good Islamic names.

For a female, one can use the names of any of the wives or mothers or daughters of the Prophets; like Sarah, Hajrah, Maryam, Aisha, Fatemah, Zainab, Safeeyah, Hafsah, etc.

The deen of Islam is rich in history… from the times of Prophet Adam (a.s.) to the present day… And any good name of any of the God-fearing and pious slaves of Allah would make for a good Islamic name for the new born.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
