Making one’s Messenger topic a du‘aa’ (supplication) or word of wisdom

Dear Brothers & Sisters,
As-Salaamu-Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:
There are “topics” for Messenger of different types, including some that are called Islamic topics. I chose one of these topics for my e-mail. Is it permissible for me to do that? Please note that chat or writing begins with this Islamic topic that I chose.
(There may be some grammatical and spelling errors in the above statement. The forum does not change anything from questions, comments and statements received from our readers for circulation in confidentiality.)

Answer:

Praise be to Allah.

There is nothing wrong with using Messenger topics and choosing useful words, or beneficial supplications, or good lines of poetry. That will serve as a reminder to one’s friends, and will prompt and remind them to do good and obey Allah.

And Allah knows best.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah's Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
