Thrown into boiling water when they are still moving after being slaughtered

Dear Brothers & Sisters,
As-Salaamu-Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)
One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:
When chickens have been slaughtered, and they are still moving, they are immediately thrown into a large pan of boiling water, to make it easier to remove their feathers. If we do that, is it permissible to eat these chickens?

Answer:

Praise be to Allaah.

We put this question to Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih ibn ‘Uthaymeen, may Allaah preserve him, who replied as follows:

So long as they have been slaughtered, there is nothing wrong with it.

 Question:

But they are still moving.

 Answer:

If that is after they have been slaughtered, there is nothing wrong with it (and they are halaal to eat), but you should not subject them to this torture.

 And Allaah knows best.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah's Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
