One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Recently I received a video clipping of an angel descending on the roof of the Ka`aba and returning to the sky.

It was an approx 5 minute video clipping and showed the image(supposed to be an angel) moving here and there, finally settling on the top of the Ka`aba and then returning back to the sky after some time. So if the angels cannot be seen by us, then can you kindly explain how it was apparently shot by the videographer and whether this could be a reality?

Answer:

Can man see angels in real form

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

In light of the Guidance of the Glorious Quran, the only person who has ever seen an Angel of Allah in its real form is the self of the Last and Final Messenger of Allah, Mohamed ar-Rasool Allah (saws).

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 53 Surah Najm Verses 5-18:

5 He (Prophet Mohamed (saws)) was taught by one mighty in power (Hadrat Jibrael (a.s.))

6 Endued with Wisdom: For he (Hadrat Jibrael (a.s.)) appeared (in stately form)

7 While he was in the highest part of the horizon:

8 Then he approached and came closer

9 And was at a distance of but two bow-lengths or (even) nearer;

10 So did (Allah) convey the inspiration to His Servant what He (meant) to convey.

11 The (Prophet's) mind and) heart in no way falsified that which he saw (Hadrat Jibrael (a.s.))

12 Will ye then dispute with him concerning what he saw?

13 For indeed he (Prophet Mohamed (saws)) saw him (Hadrat Jibrael (a.s.))at a second descent.

14 Near the Lote-tree beyond which none may pass:

15 Near it is the Garden of Abode.

16 Behold the Lote-tree was shrouded (in mystery unspeakable!)

17 (His) sight never swerved nor did it go wrong!

18 For truly did he see of the Signs of his Lord the Greatest!

The Lord Most High makes it abundantly clear that if The Exalted were to send down His Angels in their real form to man to see, it would be the end of time!

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 15 Surah Hijr Verses 6-8:

6 They say: "O thou to whom the Message is being revealed (Prophet Mohamed (saws))! Truly thou art mad (or possessed)!

7 "Why bringest thou not Angels to us if it be that thou hast the Truth?"

8 We send not the Angels down except for Just Cause: if they (came), behold! No respite would they (to the ungodly) have!

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 25 Surah Furqan Verses 21-22:

21 Such as fear not the meeting with Us (for Judgment) say: "Why are not the Angels sent down to us or (why) do we not see our Lord?" Indeed they have an arrogant conceit of themselves and mighty is the insolence of their impiety!

22 The Day they see the Angels no joy will there be to the sinners that Day: the (Angels) will say: "There is a barrier forbidden (to you) altogether!"

There is absolutely no doubt that just as the believers circumambulate the Holy Kaaba on the earth, the Angels too circumambulate the Sacred House and praise, and worship their Lord Most Exalted.

But to believe that someone was actually able to see, leave alone shoot a video of an Angel of Allah descending on the roof of the Kaaba and returning to the sky is absolutely impossible…..it is safe to assume that if at all such a video is indeed available, someone has obviously tinkered with the images and fabricated the video to befool the people!

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
