If a person purcases a product from a person and later he realizes that the product which he has purchased is stolen. Then what shall he do?

Please answer as soon as possible.

What to do when property is stolen

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

If one realizes that a product one has bought or owns is stolen, the obvious thing to do, if the product is valuable, would be to report the loss to the authorities or police of the land. If the product one has lost in not of a significant value, one has no other choice but to accept their loss, and expect that the person who stole their product will have to account for their theft in the Court of Allah Subhanah on that Tumultuous Day of Judgment.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
