Answer:

Wife refuses to adorn hijaab

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

It is the Command of Allah Subhanah that every believing woman who has passed the age of puberty should adorn the ‘hijaab’ when in the presence of non-mehram males.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah Ahzaab verse 59:

O Prophet, enjoin your wives and daughters, and the believing women, that they should cast their outer garments over their persons. It is expected that they will thus be recognized, and not molested. Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 24 Surah Nur verse 31:

(O Prophet) enjoin the believing woman to restrain their gaze and guard their modesty, and not to display their adornment except that which is displayed of itself, and to draw their veils over their bosoms, and not to display their adornments except before their husbands, their fathers, …….and also forbid them to stamp their feet on the ground lest their hidden ornaments should be displayed.

Your Statements: ….My wife is not doing Hijab. Second thing she is wants keep her hair open when she want to go out.

Respected brother, the time to satisfy oneself with the state of belief and the practice of the deen of one’s spouse is before one marries them, not after one has already married them!!!

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 7.27 Narrated by Abu Huraira

The Prophet (saws) said, "A woman is married for four things, i.e., her wealth, her family status, her beauty and her religion. So you should marry the religious woman, (otherwise) you will be a loser."

Your Question: ….Being a husband what I should tell or do and what I should not do.

Respected brother, as the husband, you are the guardian of your family, and it is you who will be responsible and accountable for those under your ward in the presence of the Lord Most Majestic on that Inevitable Day of Judgment.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 3.592 Narrated by Abdullah bin Umar

I heard Allah's Messenger (saws) say "Everyone of you is a guardian, and responsible for what is in his custody. The ruler is a guardian of his subjects and responsible for them; a husband is a guardian of his family and is responsible for it; a wife is a guardian of her husband's house and is responsible for it, and a servant is a guardian of his master's property and is responsible for it; so all of you are guardians and responsible for your wards and those under your care."

Respected brother in Islam, it is your duty to remind your wife to fear Allah and obey His Commands.

If you have hope that your wife is inclined to fear Allah and needs some time to adorn the ‘hijaab’, and fulfill the other obligatory Commands of her Lord…..you should be patient with her and strive your absolute utmost, with patience and with wisdom, to instill the fear of Allah Subhanah and the Last Day into her.

But if after your very best efforts you are unable to convince your wife to fear Allah and obey His Commands, and your wife shows no signs of inclination towards the obedience of her Lord Creator, and you have absolutely lost hope that she would turn towards her Lord Most High in repentance…..you obviously are well within your rights to seek separation from such an impious women through the institution of divorce.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
