Durood on prophet(saws)
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
May Allah Subhanah reward you with the best of this world and the Hereafter for your kind comments of encouragement for our humble efforts in the propagation of the Truth. If our humble and modest efforts have helped even one brother or sister get closer to Allah and His Deen of Truth, then we would consider ourselves indeed fortunate to have been given this opportunity by the Lord Most Merciful to serve in His Cause. We hope, beg, and pray the Merciful Lord accepts our humble and weak efforts, forgives us our shortcomings, and saves you, us, and all the believers from the torment of the Hell Fire. Ameen.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah Ahzaab verse 56:
Allah and His Angels send blessings on the Prophet: O ye that believe! Send ye blessings on him and salute him with all respect.
When Allah Subhanah commanded the believers to send the durood or pray the salutation on Prophet Mohamed (saws), the companions of the Messenger of Allah (saws) came to him and asked him how should they obey the Command of Allah Subhanah. And the Messenger of Allah (saws) taught them the durood, which is recited by the believers till today, and until the end of time; Insha Allah.
Al-Muwatta Hadith 9.70
Yahya related from Malik from Nuaym ibn Abdullah al-Mujmirthat, Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Zayd told him that Abu Masud al Ansari said, "The Messenger of Allah (saws) came to us at the gathering of Sad ibn Ubada. Bashir ibn Sad said to him, 'Allah has ordered us to ask for blessings on you, O Messenger of Allah (saws). How should we do it?' The Messenger of Allah (saws), remained silent until we wished we had not asked him. Then he (saws) told us to say, 'O Allah, bless Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You blessed Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim, and give baraka to Muhammad and the family of Muhammad as You gave baraka to Ibrahim and the family of Ibrahim. In all the worlds You are worthy of Praise and Glorious,'"
Sallalaahu alayhe wa sallam: literally means may the Blessings of Allah be upon him (Prophet Mohamed (saws)) and peace.
Sallalaahu alayhe wa alihi wa sallam: literally means may the Blessings of Allah be upon him (Prophet Mohamed (saws) and his family (or his followers); and peace.
Whenever the name of Prophet Mohamed (saws) is mentioned in ones midst, regardless of whether one chooses to invoke the Blessings of Allah upon the Noble Prophet (saws) alone, or along with his family (and followers), it would suffice to fulfill the Command of Allah Subhanah.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
