I just wanted to know is it possible to boycott any Muslim from Jamat. They are not even invited for any wedding ceremony if held in that village. Please I need the answer to the above so that I can spread awareness.

Answer:

Excommunicate a believing family

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Sunan of Abu-Dawood Hadith 2526 Narrated by Anas ibn Malik

The Prophet (saws) said: ‘Three things are the roots of faith:

  1. to refrain from (killing) a person who utters, "There is no god but Allah" (without just cause)
  2. and not to declare him unbeliever whatever sin he commits,
  3. and not to excommunicate him from Islam for any of his actions.’

Unless and until one declares oneself to be an apostate, Islam has not given the right to anyone in creation to declare anyone who has professed belief a disbeliever, nor has Islam given the right to anyone to ex-communicate a believer from the Brotherhood of the believers or Jamaah.

The one who has declared the ruling to excommunicate the believing family, and those who follow the ruling…… both will be held severely accountable for their oppression and their injustice towards the believer in the Court of Allah Subhanah.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
