Assalaam o alaikum

My birth sign is PISCES.........it is correct to believe on birth signs ?...........i want to know in details about this sign . whats mentioned in QURAN E PAAK about this signs?

Answer:

Zodiac signs

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Dear and beloved Sister in Islam, the date or day of one’s birth, or the movement of the heavenly bodies or stars have absolutely no bearing on the occurrences of an individual’s life in the least whatsoever! The heavenly bodies, sun, moon, planet, stars, etc., like everything in existence, are no more than a creation of the Lord Most High, and these heavenly bodies are subject to the Laws Decreed for them by Allah Subhanah.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chatper 21 Surah Anbiyaa verses 30-33:

30 Do not the disbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of Creation) before We clove them asunder? We made from water every living thing. Will they not then believe?

31 And We have set on the earth mountains standing firm lest it should shake with them, and We have made therein broad highways (between mountains) for them to pass through: that they may receive guidance.

32 And We have made the heavens as a canopy well-guarded: yet do they turn away from the Signs which these things (point to)!

33 It is He Who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon: all (the celestial bodies) swim along each in its rounded course.

There is absolutely no evidence in the Quran and Sunnah that one carries particular traits, habits, or drawbacks which are peculiar to his/her zodiac signs or stars. Allah Subhanah has given mankind (and Jinns) two things which He has not given to any amongst His creation: 1. Intelligence or the Power of Reasoning, and 2. A Free Will to choose whatever path he wishes to choose to live his life. A person forms his traits, habits, and character from his knowledge and experience and of his own free will, and is not at all dependant upon the movement of the heavenly bodies, nor their zodiac or star signs! The date of birth or a person has absolutely no bearings on the person’s traits or habits or character, or anything else for that matter!

To believe that a particular heavenly body, or the movement of a particular heavenly body has a bearing on a person’s life in the least, would indeed be a clear manifestation of the heinous and abomination crime of ‘shirk’, and the believers who sincerely fear Allah and the Last Day must absolutely abstain from such ignorance. Everything, absolutely everything, is in the Sole Control of none save their Lord and Creator, Allah Subhanah.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 3 Surah Ale Imran verses160:

If Allah helps you, none can overcome you! And if Allah forsakes you, who is there, then, after Allah that can help you? Therefore, the true believers should trust in Allah Alone.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 10 Surah Yunus verses 106-107:

And do not call besides Allah, any being that can neither do you any good nor any harm. For if you will do so, you shall be one of the doers of wrong. If Allah afflicts you with a calamity, there is none to remove it, but He Himself. Likewise, if Allah wills to bestow a favor on you, there is none to withhold Allah’s Bounty. He bestows His Bounty on anyone of His servants He wills. And He is The Forgiving, The Merciful.

Sahih Muslim Hadith 133 Narrated by Abu Hurayrah

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: “Don't you know what your Lord said? Your Lord observed: ‘I (Allah) have never endowed My bondsmen with a favor, but a section amongst them disbelieved it, and said: stars, it was due to the stars.’”

Dear and beloved Sister in Islam, we reiterate again that to believe that the day or date of one’s birth, or the movement of any particular heavenly body, or the sun, or the moon, or the planets, or the stars, etc. have any effect whatsoever on the life or charachter of an individual is the absolute height of ignorance and tantamount to disbelief and the unforgivable crime of ‘shirk’ in the Sight of the Lord Most Majestic, Most Supreme!

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
