Answer:

Thoughts in prayer

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

May Allah Subhanah reward you with the best of this world and the Hereafter for your kind comments of encouragement for our humble efforts in the propagation of the Truth. If our humble and modest efforts have helped even one brother or sister get closer to Allah and His Deen of Truth, then we would consider ourselves indeed fortunate to have been given this opportunity by the Lord Most Merciful to serve in His Cause. We hope, beg, and pray the Merciful Lord accepts our humble and weak efforts, forgives us our shortcomings, and saves you, us, and all the believers from the torment of the Hell Fire. Ameen.

Q-1: Can we read Darood Sharif without covering the Head.
Wearing a covering on the head while offering his prayers or while reciting the Quran, or while reciting the ‘durood’, etc. is not amongst the obligatory acts for a believing male in Shariah. If one covers his head, or leaves it uncovered; both ways his prayers and his worship will be considered valid.

The dressing norm at the time of the Messenger of Allah (saws) was such that the Arabs used to wear a turban over their heads; and thus the Messenger of Allah (saws) normally always prayed with his head covered. Thus, if the normal dress code of the person is such that he covers his head (like the Arab ‘gatra’ or head-cover); then it is fine to pray with the head cover. But if there the normal dress code of the person is such that in normal circumstances he does not cover his head, there is no need to specially cover his head while praying or reciting the Quran. But if he does cover his head, there is absolutely no harm.

Ibn 'Asakir related that the Prophet would sometimes remove his head cover (turban) and place it in front of him as a ‘sutrah’ for prayer.

In light of the above absolutely clear guidance of the above quoted hadith, it is evident that the wearing of a head-cover during their prayers (or reciting the Quran or durood, etc.) is not obligatory upon the believing males in Shariah.

Q-2: What if I get certain worldy thoughts during my Salah, and if so happens shall my prayer be accepted by ALLAH or not. pls reply. Is there any Dua which I can read so that I can fully Concentrate in My Salah and avoid different thoughts coming in my mind by Shataan.
Fiqh-us-Sunnah Fiqh 2.89

Abu Hurairah repons that the Prophet (saws) said: "When the call to prayer (adhaan) is made, the Shaytaan takes to his heels... and when it is finished, he returns. He flees again when the iqamah is made and when it is finished, he returns until he comes between the man and his thoughts, saying: 'Remember this and remember that,' which he had not recalled, until the person does not know how much he has prayed, [i.e.,] three or four rak'at. Then, he makes two prostrations while sitting."

Dear and Beloved Brother, nothing hurts and despairs the accursed Shaytaan more than when a believer prostrates in worship to The Lord Most High; thus the accursed Shaytaan, if he is not able to convince the believer to leave his prayer, will strive his utmost to at least steal something away from the believer’s prayer! In his effort to steal something away from the believers’ prayers, he thus comes between the believer and his prayers and recitation, tries to confuse him, and tries to make him think of worldly matters.

Ammar ibn Yasir said that he heard the Messenger of Allah (saws) say: "A man may complete the salah and only have recorded for himself one-tenth, or one-ninth, or one-eighth, or one-seventh, or one-fifth, or one-fourth, or one third, or one-half."

As soon as one realizes that the Shaytaan has made his thoughts wander during his prayers, he should immediately seek refuge in Allah from him and ‘spit’ out three times on their left side; it is expected that Allah Subhanah will protect them from the whisperings of the Shaytaan.

Uthman ibn Abi al-'Aas said: "O Messenger of Allah (saws), the Shaytaan comes between me and my prayers and my recitation, confusing me therein!" The Prophet (saws) said: "That Shaytaan is called Khanzab. If he affects you seek refuge in Allah from him and 'spit out' on your left side three times."

Q-3: What can one do they are not satisfied after performing their obligatory prayer.
Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 1.47 (part) Narrated by Abu Huraira

…..(Hadrat Jibrael (a.s.) came to the Prophet (saws) who was sitting with his companions, in the form of a human being and asked the Prophet (saws)): "What is ‘Ihsaan’ (perfection)?" Allah's Messenger (saws) replied, "To worship Allah as if you see Him, and if you cannot achieve that state of devotion, then you must know with absolute conviction that Allah (at least) is looking at you." …….

Q-4: Can we close our eyes during salah to concentrate in it.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 33 Surah Ahzab verse 21:

There is indeed the best example for you to follow in the Messenger of Allah, for every such person that looks forward to Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah much.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) always prayed with his eyes open and there is no authentic narration whereby he (saws) advised the believers to pray with their eyes open, or closed. Thus, it should not be considered a form of virtue to pray with one’s eyes closed, nor is praying with one’s eyes closed considered a sin.

It is upto the individual’s preference if one chooses to close their eyes while praying, especially if something is distracting him, or he thinks that he can concentrate better on the prayers by keeping his eyes closed. Both ways, their prayer will be valid.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
