Answer:

Our Duty is only to invite

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His  forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Your Question: my question for today is that i send the mails that u send me to all my friends and i fear that some of them don like them and they prolly delete them before reading them.wat shud i do?

Beloved brother, we endeavor to reply each and every question that is asked on our forum; and base our opinions only in light of the Quran and the Sunnah. It may be that some people, who are used to following a certain way because of their background, or upbringing, or culture may not immediately accept the guidance from the Quran and Sunnah; and may even refuse to read and judge for themselves whether what we write is indeed from the Quran and Sunnah or not. It is only natural for a human being to resist when something different is presented to him from what the person has been brought up believing, even though the thing presented to him may be from the Quran and Sunnah.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 43 Surah Zukhruf verse 22-25:Nay! But they say, “We found our forefathers on a way and we are only walking in their footsteps.” Even so, whenever before you We sent a warner to a habitation, its people of means said, “We have found our forefathers on a way and we are only following in their footsteps.” Every Prophet asked them, “Will you still go on following the same old way even if I guide you to a more right way than that you found your forefathers following?” They replied, “We disbelieve the religion with which you have been sent.” Consequently, We took vengeance on them. Just consider what was the end of those who denied.

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said in an authentic narration that the deen he brought was seen as something strange and different by the people used to practicing the pagan way of life. He prophesied that Islam would revert back to being strange; and that prophecy is indeed true today. Whenever the ungodly world or culture asks the people to do something, they do it without question (birthdays, festivals, pagan rites and rituals, etc.); but when any command of Allah and His Messenger (saws) is reminded to these people, they immediately ask: ‘why?’, ‘what is the wisdom behind it?’, ‘is the command applicable in this day and age?’, etc.! Indeed, the ones who are satisfied with the life of this world, find the guidance and teachings of Islam very ‘strange’!

Sahih Muslim Hadith 270 Narrated by Abu Hurayrah

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: “Islam initiated as something strange, and it would revert to its (old position) of being strange, so good tidings for the strangers.”

May Allah Subhanah bless you and reward you generously in the life of this world and especially in the Hereafter, for your efforts in propagating the deen of Truth, to the best of your ability. Beloved brother, your intentions are nothing but good and pure, and you have done your duty by forwarding the mails to them so that they might get some guidance from the Quran and Sunnah. If they, of their own free will, refuse or deny to receive guidance; they will have to answer for their own deeds in the Court of Allah Subhanah.

The duty that Allah has laid on the believers is only to invite mankind and anyone who wishes to listen to good caution, to the Truth of Al-Islam. To accept and believe or reject and deny is a decision each individual will have to make for himself; and every person will be responsible only for his deeds.

Allah says in the Holy Quran: Chapter 16, Surah An-Nahl Ayat 125:Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and excellent admonition and argue with people in the best manner. Your Lord knows best who has gone astray from His Way and who is Rightly guided.

Beloved brother, as their sincere well-wisher, you should continue and increase your efforts in the propagation of the Truth to your family and friends, even if they refuse to open the mails, or even if they delete them. You should never loose heart, or disown them, or give up on them; if indeed you are their sincere well-wisher. Maybe, just maybe, someday he might read something from the Quran and Sunnah that might touch his heart; and Allah may guide him to the Straight Path, and he may become a better believer than you and us! Allah Subhanah has full and complete knowledge of every soul’s intentions, and is well aware of the efforts of each and every individual. Thus beloved brother, continue doing good deeds in the Cause of Allah, and expect your reward from none but the Merciful Alone!

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
