Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Meaning name shihab saqib

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 15 Surah Hijr verses 17-18:

17 And (moreover) we have guarded them (the heavens) from every accursed shayateen:

18 But any that gains a hearing by stealth is pursued by a manifest Shihaab (flaming bright fire) .

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chatper 86 Surah Taariq verses 1-3:

1 By the Sky and the night-visitant (therein)

2 And what will explain to thee what the night-visitant is?

3 (It is) the Star of Saaqib (piercing brightness)

Both the terms Shihaab and Saaqib are mentioned in the Glorious Quran, and the meaning of the terms are as follows:

Shihaab: means a flaming bright fire, like that of a shooting star, and,

Saaqib: means absolutely piercing brightness.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allahs Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
