Answer:
Watch movies Shirk
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is no one (no idol, no person, no
grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Beloved brother in Islam, ‘shirk’ (believing in or
associating other gods with Allah Subhanah) like ‘Tawheed’ (believing in the
Supreme and Unique Oneness of The Lord Creator) is a system of belief; and just
as one does not automatically become guilty of crime simply by watching or
witnessing a crime, one cannot say that one who saw or witnessed someone doing
‘shirk’ is guilty of the unforgivable abomination of ‘shirk’!
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 25 Surah
Furqaan verses 72-76:
72 Those who (intentionally) witness no falsehood, and if they pass by
futility they pass by it with honorable (avoidance);
73 Those who when they are admonished with the Signs of their Lord
droop not down at them as if they were deaf or blind:
74 And those who pray "Our Lord! grant unto us wives and offspring
who will be the comfort of our eyes and give us (the grace) to lead the
righteous."
75 Those are the ones who will be rewarded with the highest place (in
76 Dwelling therein; how beautiful an abode
and place of rest!
Abu Basrah reports that the Prophet (saws)
said: "Part of a man's good observance of Islam is that he leave alone
that which does not concern him."
Related by Tirmidhi and Ibn Maajah.
Islam guides that one should not intentionally be a
witness or willingly participate in acts of falsehood, especially if the
falsehood is as heinous and as monstrous as ‘shirk’! But if one does unintentionally happen to
witness or pass by a gathering or a place where such an abomination is taking
place, he should pass by with an honorable avoidance.
Your
Question: Is it allowed to watch movies or play games which talk about
existence of many gods and other type of lies?
Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 31 Surah
Luqman verse 13:
13 Behold Luqman said to his son by way of instruction: "O
my son! Join not in worship (others) with Allah: for ‘shirk is indeed the
Highest Wrong-Doing."
Allah
says in the Quran: Chapter 4 Surah An-Nisa Verse 48
Shirk (associating other deities with Allah) is the only sin that Allah does
not forgive, and He forgives, whomsoever He pleases, sins other than this. For whosoever associates any other
partner with Allah, does indeed forge a big lie and commits the most heinous
sin
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 39 Surah
Zumar verse 65-66:
If you commit ‘shirk’ all your works will be
rendered vain and you will be among the losers.
Therefore, you should worship Allah Alone, and be among His grateful
servants.
Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 5 Surah
Maidah verse 72:
Whoever commits ‘shirk’ (invoking anything with
Allah), Allah shall forbid for him
Beloved brother in Islam, when a believer knows with
certainty the rank of the abomination and crime of ‘shirk’ in the Sight of his
Lord Most High, how is it possible that one who sincerely believes in Allah and
the Last Day would intentionally indulge in watching movies or playing games
which propagate the falsehood of associating other gods with Allah Subhanah,
The One, The Only, the Absolutely Unique???
A believer who sincerely believes in Allah and the Last
Day must absolutely strive to abstain from intentionally indulging himself in
any falsehood or lies, leave alone the biggest lie and falsehood of all lies
and falsehoods: ie. ‘shirk’!!!
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to
Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only
Source of Strength.
Your brother and
well wisher in Islam,
Burhan
