asslamualikum dearest brother in islam ,

i am goign through a a very big dilemma .i had been married for 2 years .intial part of our married life went through a lot of crisis when i came to know that there were 2 to 3 other women in my husbands life .they were in the past but he continued it till our first anniversary .when i came to know of it i confronted him and thingswent bad .but alhamdulillah i forgave him and asked him to repent to allah.i read all his girl friends mails which clearly indiacated sexual involvement (before marriage) .let me be clear there was no physical relations with these women after i married to him .one of his girl friend accused him of sleeping iwht her over and over again and not loving her.at that time i was very skeptical and i asked him about sexual involvement he denied ,but i was sure he was lying .IN MY HEART I GAVE BADDUA TO HIM STATING THAT IF HE HAD HAVESEXUAL RELATIONS WITH ANY BODY AND IF HES LYING HE SHOULD BE CHILDLESS WITH ME OR EVEN IF HE DIVORCES ME AND REMARRIES HE SHOULD BE CHILDLESS.(ASTHAKHFIRULLAH).

things went by for another 6 months and he swore over the quran that he wouldnt do anything which will hurt me and which is shaitaniyath.i trust him now and trying to forgetthe past we both are understanding each other well.after 2 years of marriage and with everyhting going right we decided to start a family and its been one yearthat we r trying and i am not able to conceive .i feel its all because of my baddua .may allah have mercy on me .please guide me regarding this.allah is all knowing .but my baddua is scaring me .is baddua accepted by allah??

Answer:

Bad dua curse

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 1740 Narrated by Abdullah ibn Mas'ud

The Prophet (saws) said: ‘A believer does not taunt, curse, abuse or talk indecently.’

Sahih Muslim Hadith 7149.2 Narrated by Jabir ibn Abdullah

The Messenger of Allah (saws) said: ‘Don't curse yourselves, nor your children, nor your belongings. There is the possibility that your curse may synchronize with the time when Allah is about to confer upon you what you demand, and thus your prayer may be readily answered.’

The Messenger of Allah (saws) guided the believers to abstain from invoking a curse or evil dua for oneself or others, as such things are just not consonant with the character of one who sincerely believes in Allah and the Last Day.

Dear and beloved Sister in Islam, turn back to your Lord seeking sincere forgiveness for your deeds, keep your full trust and faith in none save Him, and remain constant in your supplications to Him; and regardless of what transpires, never never ever despair of the Mercy, Grace, and Bounty of the Lord Most High.

Allah Says in the Holy Quran Chapter 42 Surah Shura verses 49-50:

49 To Allah belongs the Dominion of the heavens and the earth. He creates what He wills (and plans). He bestows (children) male or female according to His Will (and Plan).

50 Or He bestows both males and females, and He leaves barren whom He Wills: for He is Full of Knowledge and Power.

Beloved sister, rest assured that your condition of being unable to start a family at a time of your choosing is no more than a trial for you from your Lord….so that He may determine whether you keep your trust and faith in Him Alone and bear your trial with patience or otherwise. Thus my beloved sister, keep your faith and trust in Him and Him Alone, bear your trial with a beautiful patience, and remain absolutely constant in your supplication to Him to provide you with the off-spring that you desire; for none save the Lord Most High has the Power to bestow anything on anyone.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 2 Surah Baqarah verse 186:

And if My servants ask you, O Prophet, concerning Me, tell them that I am quite near to them. I hear and answer the prayer of the suppliant, when he calls on Me. So let them respond to My call and believe in Me. (Convey this to them), perhaps they may be guided aright!

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2257 Narrated by Abu Sa'id al-Khudri

The Prophet (saws) said, "Any Muslim who makes a supplication containing nothing which is sinful, or which involves breaking ties of relationship, will be given for it by Allah one of three things: He will give him swift answer, or store it up for him in the next world, or turn away from him an equivalent amount of evil." Those who heard it said they would then make many supplications and he (saws) replied that Allah was more ready to answer than they were to ask.

Abu Hurairah reported, "The Prophet (saws) said, "Nothing is more dear to Allah than one's supplication to Him.''

Narrated by Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah.

Abdallah b. 'Umar reported that the Prophet (saws) said, "Hearts are like vessels, some more attentive and capacious than others. When you supplicate Allah you should be certain of being answered, and know that Allah does not answer a supplication that comes from a careless and inattentive heart."

Narrated by Ahmad

Al-Tirmidhi Hadith 2248 Narrated by Abu Hurayrah

Allah's Messenger (saws) said, "There are three whose supplication is not rejected: one who has just ended a fast, a just imam, and one who has been wronged, whose supplication is raised by Allah above the clouds and for which the gates of Heaven are opened. The Lord says, 'I swear by My might that I shall certainly help you, though it be after some time.'"

Abu Hurairah reported that the Prophet (saws) said, "Your supplication will be answered if you are not impatient, and if you do not say, 'I supplicated but my supplication was not heard'."

Narrated by Malik.

My dear and beloved Sister in Islam, rest assured that your Lord is well aware of the needs and conditions of each in His creation; thus keep your full trust and faith in Him and Him Alone and relentlessly supplicate to Him with hope and humility for all that your heart desires, for no supplication made to the Lord by His believing slaves is ever left unanswered.

Salman reported that the Prophet (saws), said, "Your Lord, the Blessed and the Exalted One, is Modest and Generous, and He loathes to turn away His servant empty-handed when he raises his hands to Him in supplication."

Narrated by Ahmad and Ibn Hibban.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
