Can Allah create another Allah?

Mu` meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah`s Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Salaam Alaikum Burhan Bhai,

JazakAllah Khair for the service you have been rendering to the Muslim Ummah. Al Hamdullilah your answers are helping us improve in religious knowledge and in becoming better Muslims.

I have a question to ask; I was once asked by another Muslim whether Allah could create another Allah if he wishes. Indeed my friend who asked me was as baffled by the question as myself. I know it is a stupid question, but since I could not think of an answer, I am asking you since you are an Aalim, you might be able to say something meaningful.

Answer:

Can Allah create another Allah

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His  forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

The All-Mighty Lord, if He so wishes, has the power to create another. He can do whatever He wants, and no one has the power to stop Him in the least. But it is also a fact that Allah Subhanah does not do anything that is against His Glory and His Majesty!

For example, Allah Subhanah is the All-Just and always does justice. If He so wishes, He can be unjust, and none can stop Him from being so. But it does not behove the Glory and Majesty of the Merciful Lord to be unjust!

Also, whoever Allah Subhanah creates, will always be His creation; and as it will be His creation, and thus His slave like all His creation; and he will be subject to the laws of Allah Subhanah, the Lord of the Worlds. If Allah Subhanah can create something, He has the power to destroy it too….Besides, Allah Subhanah has declared Himself that He is One, Alone, and Only; and there is none like Him at all in the Universe!

Allah says describing Himself in the Holy Quran Chapter 42 Surah Ash-Shura verse 11:

There is Absolutely nothing like Him (Allah) in the whole Universe!!! He is the All-Hearing, The All-Seeing!! To Him Alone belong the keys of the treasures of the heavens and the earth!!

Allah says in Chapter 112, Surah Ikhlas Verse 1-4

Say: He is Allah, the One and Only. Allah is Independent of all, and all are dependent on Him. Neither has He any offspring, nor is He the offspring of anyone; and NONE is equal to Him in rank.

Thus the Majestic Allah has no family, no partner, no wife, no children, and none can come even close to be compared to Allah Subhanah, the Lord of the Worlds!

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 21 Surah Anbiyaa verses 22-23: If there were in the heavens and the earth other gods besides Allah there would have been confusion in both! But glory to Allah the Lord of the Throne: (high is He) above what they attribute to Him!

He cannot be questioned for His acts but they will be questioned (for theirs).

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
