Answer:

Family Planning

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Islam has permitted the spacing of children in a marriage. It has been reported in authentic narrations that some of the noble companions of the Messenger of Allah (saws) used to practice ‘coitus-interruptus’, whereby the male organ is removed from the female organ just before ejaculation.

Most of the scholars of Islam are of the opinion, that there is no harm if one uses one of the modern forms of birth control, provided their intention is only to space the ages of their children. But all of them are absolutely unanimous in their opinion that any form of permanent birth control, whereby one intends to stop having children, is absolutely forbidden in Islam. One may use a temporary form of contraception, if their intention is to space their children; but to use any form of contraception with the intention to permanently stop having children is absolutely disallowed and prohibited in Islam.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me alone. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
