Dear brother Burhan,
Lately several queries have come up regarding the Deen, They are as follows;
3. A teacher in my school argues that shaving (the beard) is Haraam due to the
views of certain scholars, what`s correct? Bearing in mind I’m only willing to
implement that that is proven authentic from the Qur’aan and Sunnah.

Answer:
Shaving beard
In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask
for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever
He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that
there is no one (no idol, no person, no
grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai,
nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that
Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.
Ibn 'Umar related that the
Messenger of Allah (saws) said: "Differ from the polytheists: let your
beards (grow), and shave your moustache."
Related by al-Bukhari and Muslim.
It is indeed a preferred Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (saws), and his direct command to the believers to grow a beard. To declare that something is haraam or halaal is the right of only Allah and His Messenger (saws); and no where has it been specifically mentioned in the Quran or Sunnah that to shave a beard is haraam in Islam. The most one can say about a believer not sporting a full beard is that he missed a good opportunity to follow the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah (saws) and thus earn himself a reward from Allah Subhanah.
Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.
Your
Brother in Islam,
Burhan
