Answer:

Earth does not consume prophet’s body

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Aus reported that the Prophet (saws) said, "Allah has forbidden the earth to consume the bodies of the prophets."

Related by Abu Daw'ud and Nasa'i.

The above authentic hadith specifically mentions that the earth does not consume the bodies of the Prophets of Allah after their burial, but it has been reported by eye-witnesses that even the bodies of the martyrs who were killed in the Cause of Allah remain unconsumed by the earth.

To the best of our knowledge, there is no mention of the earth not consuming the bodies of the martyrs in any of the authentic traditions of the Messenger of Allah (saws); thus one can neither deny this honor with conviction, nor confirm it, and Allah Alone Knows Best.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
