Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.  (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

Salamalaiklum Brothers....

Not sure if this is the right forum for this question but if you could let me know the answer, I would appreciate it... Just wanted to find out the hymn when Prophet Muhammad Pbuh...returned from medina to mecca.. And where I would be able to get a copy?

Thanks...

Salamalaikum...

Hymn slogan of pm during fatah makkah

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad(saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

We assume you are referring to the time the Prophet (saws) came to Makkah at the time of the Conquest of Makkah 8 years after his Hijra. There is no particular hymn he recited when entering Makkah, but when he (saws) broke the idols around the Kaabah, he did recite the Aayah of the Quran 17:81 at every stroke of his stick.

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 6.244 Narrated by Abdullah bin Masud

Allah's Messenger (saws) entered Mecca (in the year of the Conquest) and there were three-hundred and sixty idols around the Ka'ba. He (saws) then started hitting them with a stick in his hand and said: "Truth (i.e. Islam) has come and falsehood (disbelief) vanished. Truly falsehood (disbelief) is ever bound to vanish." (Quran 17.81)

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your Brother in Islam,

Burhan
