Convert hiding prayers

Mu' meneen Brothers and Sisters,

As Salaam Aleikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh. (May Allah's Peace, Mercy and Blessings be upon all of you)

One of our brothers/sisters has asked this question:

as salaam aleiykum wa rahmatullahi wa barkatuh,

bhaiya i wntd to ask dat alhamdulilah i have memorized the surah Al-Fatiha nicely n also m independently trying to offer my salaah.
since m learning so it happens a lot of times dat while doind the sajdah i forget to say takbir before bending down but masha allah
as soon i bent down it strikes my mind dat i havent said it n den i say d takbir n den say "Subhana Rabbiyal' A'la bihamdih" 3times.

u know I kind of make dese small lil mistakes (may allah swt forgive me) unknowingly cz honestly i live wid my parents n der is veryyyy
short period of time for me to offer my salaah with actual mental peace cz i have to hide away from dem, make vague excuses or smtimes evn have to lie to dem so dat i cn offer on time. since mrng prayer is not pos here so i try my best alhamdulilah to offer Fajr(Qaza),
n cz of the situation here i offer Zuhr on time i.e after 12.15pm (IST) n combine Asr with it cz i really have no option. I think i might not b able to make excuses al 5times so i try n combine Zuhr(on time)+Asr (Qaza) n Magrib(Qaza) + Isha (on time).

i know whatever prayer m missing(Allah swt knows d best) i have to do Qaza later on i.e compensate for it later on) Insha allah i b more dan happy to do it..but till the time m not being able to do so or may be if i m offering Fajr(Qaza)+ [Zuhr(on time)+Asr(combined with zuhr)]  is it a gunnah dat i ll be given severe punishment for it in this or Hereafter life..plz do reply.

also the mistakes dat occur out of fear of being caught by my parents during namaaz or being diverted wid other thoughts (i hope u can understand my position) is der any gunnah for it..plz do not think dat being new is my weapon dat m using against not performing my namaz or not following the path of being a good n true muslimah...plz help me.

allah hafiz,
zaara.

Answer:

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is none worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Wa Alaykum as Salam wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh

Sahih Al-Bukhari Hadith 1.1  Narrated by Umar bin Al Khattab

I heard Allah's Messenger (saws) saying, "The reward of deeds depends upon the intentions and every person will get the reward according to what he has intended.”

Everything depends upon the intentions , initially in these conditions, error and mistakes are possible, and for that in Islam the door for repenting is always open.

And Allah is the most Gracious and the most Merciful and the most Forgiver. He knows what is in our hearts and what we intend. He knows our condition.

Dear and beloved Sister in Islam, unless and until one is unconscious, or in the state of coma, or insane, one cannot be excused from the obligatory duty of prayer.  As long as one is sane, regardless of the condition of their health, it would be their duty to observe the five obligatory prayers at their appointed times.

Fiqh-us-Sunnah Fiqh 2.103

Topic: The prayer of a person who is ill (Salatul Marid)

Whoever has some excuse due to illness and cannot stand during the fard salah is allowed to pray sitting. If he cannot pray in a sitting posture, he may pray while on his side by making gestures. In such a case, his gestures for sajdah should be lower than those for his ruku'. This principle is based on Allah's words: "...And celebrate Allah's praises, standing, sitting, and lying on your sides." (Surah 3 Ale Imran: 191)

Dear Sister in Islam, leaving the Salah in not an option. If one is ill , he is commanded to say his prayer in sitting or lying position or with gestures if cannot move his limbs. Even while traveling,  one is commanded to shorten the prayer but one cannot leave Salah in any case.

Be cautious that this should not make you careless. You must always be trying hard for day to day improvement, Inshallah. Allah knows the state of every individual and He only will provide ways to make it easy for His slaves. The shortcuts are not allowed and you should strive as much as possible and make your prayers on time.

While prayer if your fear was allayed, you should seek the forgiveness of Allah and continue the prayer; it is expected that Allah Subhanah will accept your worship and not diminish your reward in the least Insha Allah.

Dear Sister , one thing I would like to remind you.

If one’s life is not in danger and hide their muslim identity, or one believes that hiding their muslim identity will earn them some paltry material gain in this short and transitory life, etc….then such an effort would be a clear sign of the weakness of one’s ‘emaan’, faith and trust in Allah Subhanah, the Majestic and Supreme Lord of the Worlds, but if anyone who wants to hide Iman for some reason for some time he or she can do to control the situation and later become a strong Muslim.

Dear Beloved Sister in Islam, if you read the Glorious Quran  and Life history of Prophets pbuh and his Companions,  you will find many such examples of those who sacrificed their lives but did not hide their faith.

One of the people who were tortured were Khabbab ibn al-Aratt ra, he was a blacksmith, thus not belonged to rich family. He was brought in hot sun and he was forced to lie on back on those blazing hot stones which were ignited for him without shirt. He was tortured to an extent that his skin burnt and fat melted which ultimately made those stones cool.

Hazrat Khabbab ra narrated that when after all such painful torture, they went to Prophet pbuh. He was resting under shade of Kabah with his head resting on the pillow he made with his sheet. Then we asked him O Rasool Allah saws! Do you not pray for us? Things are getting unbearable for us. How long we would tolerate them? Then Prophet pbuh sat and they reported that  he did not like asking about it. Prophet pbuh said , you are becoming hasty. You are not yet harassed the way people before you were harassed. They were tortured to the extent that they are half buried in earth and kuffar would put axe on their head and start cutting till upper body divided into two parts. They were killed in fire alive. By Allah you are becoming hasty. The time will come when a rider will go from Sana to Hazral mout and he will have no fear except of Allah. So you have to do Sabr.

If you just compare your life with the life of those patient Sahaba , you can easily understand that you are not tortured the way they were persecuted.

We being Muslims should be thankful to  Allah that He has not put the trials on us those He put on people earlier to us.

áÇ ÊÎÔæåã æÎÔæäì  Allah says : ‘’Fear Me , fear them not.’’ Thus Beloved Sister Islam , put your full trust in Allah and do not fear the people in anything practicing Islam.

Continue your supplications as much as possible, InshaAllah when your Lord wills and wishes your trials to be over you and you will feel His mercy and grace.
