Answer:

Prophet Isa (a.s) and Imam Mehdi

In the name of Allah, We praise Him, seek His help and ask for His forgiveness. Whoever Allah guides none can misguide, and whoever He allows to fall astray, none can guide them aright. We bear witness that there is no one (no idol, no person, no grave, no prophet, no imam, no dai, nobody!) worthy of worship but Allah Alone, and we bear witness that Muhammad (saws) is His slave-servant and the seal of His Messengers.

Our belief about the noble Prophet Isa (a.s.), is what is said about him in the Quran and Sunnah. He was one of the mightiest Prophet’s of Allah, he was born of miraculous birth from a virgin mother, he was granted miracles by Allah, and that he was sent as a Messenger to the Bani Israel.

Allah says in the Holy Quran Chapter 4 Surah Nisaa verses 157-158:They (the Jews) said (in boast), “We have slain Isa, son of Maryam, a Messenger of Allah.” Whereas, in fact, they did not slay him, nor did they crucify him; but it was made to appear so to them. And those who have differed about this matter, are full of doubts. They have no knowledge of it, but they follow mere conjectures; for it is certain that they did not kill Isa. Nay, the fact is that Allah has raised him up unto Himself. Allah is All Powerful, All Wise.

In light of the above verse, it is evident that Jesus is alive and Allah has raised him unto Himself. To determine whether he is alive with his physical body, and where exactly is he, and what does he do; these are all knowledge of the ‘unseen’, which Allah has not revealed to us in the Holy Quran. As believers, we are commanded to believe what Allah declares in the Quran, and we believe that Prophet Isa (a.s.) is alive and Allah has raised him unto Himself. It is related in many authentic narrations of Prophet Mohamed (saws), who said that amongst the Signs of the Final Hour, is that Prophet Isa (a.s.) will be sent down to the earth by Allah. He will live on the earth for a time determined by Allah, and die his natural death on earth.

Your comment: What is your faith about Hazrat Imam Mehdi Aliasalam i.e wether he has born or not.And if he has born where is he ?

The Quran does not mention anything about Imam Mehdi. There are several narrations of the Messenger of Allah (saws) who said that Imam Mehdi will emerge before the descent of Prophet Isa (a.s.). He will be a righteous and pious believer and a leader of the muslim Ummah. Whether he is born already or not, and where is he presently, is again the knowledge of the ‘unseen’; and Allah Alone has the Knowledge of this.

One thing we must bear in mind, is that only the Prophets of Allah come to mankind and declare that they have been appointed by Allah. No one, other than the Prophets, can come and say that they have been appointed so and so from Allah. Thus Imam Mehdi will not come and declare that he has been appointed the leader of the muslim Ummah. Only from his righteousness, piety, deeds and his leadership position will we be able to recognize him as the promised Imam Mehdi.

These two issues, the advent of Prophet Isa (a.s.) and Imam Mehdi, have mesmerized many writers who have written volumes about their advent and the signs of their advent. Some are true, and some are fabricated; so much so, that it has become difficult to differentiate the truth from the fabrication. Thus as believers, our belief should always be in the guidance of Allah and His Messenger (saws). And in light of the Quran and Sunnah, we believe that Prophet Isa (a.s.) and Imam Mehdi will come before the Final Hour.

Whatever written of Truth and benefit is only due to Allah’s Assistance and Guidance, and whatever of error is of me. Allah Alone Knows Best and He is the Only Source of Strength.

Your brother and well wisher in Islam,

Burhan
